My God, so they deliberately introduced Cane Toads, Rabbits, and Cats?
I don't even know what to say. I have to think that it's not just 20/20 hindsight making this look like a terrible idea. Maybe I'm wrong.
Okay, just because I'm crazy and have no life, I've built a webstore for the company I work at http://onsaninc.com/ with Windows Live mail as the mail server for the site. I've not had any problems so far...
Excuse me? Since when has research and development been considered wasteful, and needs to be slashed? I imagine that most companies are surprised MS does any research at all, but R&D is exactly what needs to be kicked up a notch at Microsoft.
I certainly agree. I am a very busy guy, what with a wife, school and work. I want to be able to sit down and pla ywhat I payed for, not spend hours re-playing the same levels to be able to get bonus items and the such. Luckily, I have seen some games that will let you set 'unlockability' to off, and give you all the goods upfront. Stepmania comes to mind.
What, so will they demand all dvd players, handhelds and any other devices that decode mpeg2 to be pulled as well? This sounds like another case of using the media to one's advantage.
BTW, for more info on the mpeg2 codec and it's history, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mpeg2
It seems there are a whole lot of companies that hold patents on pieces of the components that make up the mpeg2 technology. What the heck makes Lucent think that they're the only people who matter, here?
Besides the point, I don't see why more of the next gen systems encode all their video in a free format, such as Xvid. If we encoded all our movies in Xvid onto a dual-layer dvd, we could easily get 6 hours of HD goodness. Wake up, manufacturers!
Just like the title says, a 9200 is a 9000, ATI just renamed it, for some reason or other when they released all the other new cards. Check out ATI.com, I think the article on that is buried on there somewhere.
Perhaps not efficient enough if they need $5 million to keep going?

I guess they didn't see 'I Am Legend.' Way, way too much opportunity for disaster here. Anybody here hear of the Australian Cane Toad disaster?
Awesome. For those who didn't see it, his hidden message is "Shut up seriously sheesh!

Who's 'we', White Man? By the nature of your attack on other white people, you automatically show your elitism.
'6.6bn in wasteful R&D'

Finally, now I have a chip that will make Oblivion run smoothly! Hmm...maybe it's time to dust of ol' Doom III...

Indentifiable Motherboard, eh? How exactly does that work?
I suppose if I drop it hard enough...
Yes, but will it play Solitaire, man!?
You know, there's medicine that can take care of that...
All these worlds Are yours except Enceladus Attempt no Landing there All your base are belong to us!
The X-Box 360?
It's wonderful to see such a big name company releasing for the open source crowd. I hope others will follow their lead.
7. Profit!
Great, a new SFX trick.

I don't care, I just want them to add invader ZIM!
