In a collision would you like to:
A: come to a very sudden stop.
B: bleed off speed slowly.
I fully agree. But in a tiny car like the Smart, there is little room to 'bleed off speed slowly'. That has about an 18" crumple zone. There is only so much you can do in 18".
SUV's are not great either, as in the full frame ones tend to transmit a lot more direct force to the occupants than a regular sedan. And if a somewhat smaller/newer car is designed better, they will be 'safer'. But again, there is only so much energy you can bleed off in 18".
But what gets me is the fanbois that tout the Smart as the safest thing since sliced bread. It is great for a microcar. Compared to a similarly designed full size sedan? Not so much.
Which would you rather have...an 18" well designed crumple zone, or a 48" well designed crumple zone? (designed by the same company, and said crumple zones end at your knees)

But by then, your PC's have been confiscated, your name in the news, and possibly dragged through the courts. I get your point, but if someone does use your open connection for illegal purposes, you are where the investigation will start.

Again...you WILL hit something. And, in this case, the least expensive damage to your car is not the right decision to make.

I have not noticed this at all on my FiOS connection. Noon, 7PM, midnight, 3 AM....all seems to be about the same. Download slightly faster, and upload slightly slower than the advertised 25/25 speed.
Bundling TV and/or phone brings down the price significantly.
Next summer, when my 2 year price lock-in runs out, I'll switch from 25/25 to 50/25, for about the same price. Currently, our 25/25+phone+TV is $125/mo. And currently, Verizon has no bandwidth cap.
There's a giant plate identifying me or the driver on the back of the car(and in most states, front too).
Given the chance of damage I don't know if privacy is something I want in a car.

For the price of a case of beer to his brother in law the cop....your opponent can delve into all of your movements for the last decade with a simple SQL statement. "Oh look... RyuuzakiTetsuya frequented a gay bar back in 2013!" (Yes, you were just there with some college buddies, no big deal. But now you have to defend against the increasingly negative political ads - and in some areas of the country, that type of thing matters)
All of your movements, everyone you hang out with...on someone else's server, forever.
I'm going through this same thing. New master PC, and trying to consolidate 8 zillion files and copies of files from the last decade or so. If you're like me, you copied foldres or trees, instead of individual files. FreeFileSync will show you which files are different between two folders.
Grab two folders you think are pretty close. Compare. Then Sync. This copies dissimilar files in both directions. Now you have two identical folders/files. Delete one of the folders. Wash, rinse, repeat. Time consuming, but it works for me.
