Yeah I'm a shill, I've been shilling for NPR from slashdot for 15 years.
That just means that WBEZ broadcasts some shows which were produced by NPR, such as All Things Considered. They pay NPR quite heavily for the right to broadcast NPR produced and/or distributed shows.
My guess is that your local newspaper prints articles by UPI, AP and Reuters, that makes them an affiliate of these syndicators. However when they want to syndicate their own work, they chose one syndicator who takes care of distributing their content to newspapers around the world. Say your newspapers uses UPI, should I blame the AP when an article written by your newspaper gets it wrong?
It is produced by WBEZ (which itself broadcasts NPR distributed shows, such as Car Talk, but has to pay NPR for their broadcast), and distributed by PRI (Public Radio International, a direct competitor to NPR).
NPR (National Public Radio) doesn't have anything to do with the production or distribution of This American Life. It is produced independently by WBEZ and distributed by PRI (Public Radio International, a direct competitor to NPR)
There is the portable roadside test, preliminary alcohol-screening (PAS) which is the device that was not being calibrated. Which you can refuse, this is the easiest method for the officer to have probable cause to arrest you. After they arrest you, you have the choice of a blood test, another breath test at the station with another officer on a completely different device (these were being calibrated properly), and not taking another test which makes them assume guilt.
the 2/3rds quote was what Google said they achieve, but there is nothing in the article which actually quantitates it, so I'm going to go with the M&A exec blowing smoke.
There are no current formal charges against Assange in Sweden, he is being extradited only for questioning, not to face any current charges. There were charges but they were dropped before he left Sweden.
Holy smokes, you are right. Where is EPIC and the EFF in all of this? This is far more insidious than I realized. Right now the only solution that I know of is to shut off javascript for www.google.com or use a menubar search in a non-chrome browser (with suggestions off)
According to the network engineer who was a juror on the case (so I am guessing that he knows far more details about it than you or I).... He didn't refuse to just give his "password" but to give any access at all to the core routers, removed any way of password retrieval without doing a full system reset, and would not provide the configurations to these routers.
On top of that, there were emails and witnesses that made it appear that Childs was doing this all to make it such that only HE had access.
How is B) any different than the use of Flash (which this Johnny-Come-Lately google app uses)? Especially considering Moonlight is fully open source, which no version of flash 10 is.
In the United States a Congressman is specifically a member of either the US Senate or US House of Representatives. This guy was a member of the South Dakota House of Representatives, which makes him a State Legislator or State Representative, but not a "Congressman".
That wasn't exactly it, Amazon was testing different price points for items and set a cookie to make sure once your price point was set it remained. However some people noticed if they cleared their cookies they would get a lower price sometimes. The people who got a higher price didn't really have much to say about it. In the end everyone got charged the lowest price even if they thought they were paying the higher price.

It's the same in California.

Perot did not hand the election to Clinton, however Nader did hand the election to W.

Other than shutting off javascript how do you now shut off autosuggest?
You know the firefox add on that has been around for probably 5+ years. But hopefully they can take care of the giraffa patent.
ERRRRR, AFTER I hit <Google Search>
(plain old text is just that plain old text)
Yes AFTER I hit not every letter I type into the search field.

Any ratings system that ranks Sergio Ramos on the same pitch as Xavi Hernandez needs work.
Better than shitty can still be shitty

There is a silverlight 3 beta available which works about as well for me as flash 10. (both crash all the time on my linux 64 bit box)
Try Moonlight.

No, you just change your launch keys and kill the infected nodes, which can all be done in seconds.
Any intelligence service that doesn't have at least one mole in Google is worthless.
You should always assume the worst. It's the only way to keep a company in check.
