I did the pepsi challenge between the color and the original gba.
Took two copies of the exact same gbc game, booted them, and look at them side-by-side (think it was zelda dx or whatever its called). The colors on the GBC were distnly more vivid and visible in a low-light situation.
I belive the gba was actually providing less power to the screen to conserve battery life (or a more power efficient screen), resulting in duller color response.
Hey dipweed, if I want to pay a single private fucking company to do something that favors me over my competitors thats not fucking bribery, its good business sense. If I paid off the whole motherfucking industry to favor me, that would be anti-competitive. Nobody has a damn right to play KOTOR or Halo.
LOL M$ PAYED COMPANYS FOR THIER SERVICES!!!!1 LOLOLOL.
Size has nothing to do with it. Its the fact that the memory card slots are not intended to be high-bandwidth ports to pump video output from a gba processor. That device is most likeley a fancy cart reader that makes the gba game show up as blocks on a memory card. The boot disk would then read the rom in and start emulation.
if you want a picture of what it looks like,

The think I don't like about this device is that it will most likely be emulation instead of hardware. There no way something in the memory slot of the Gamecube could be playing a gba game and sening out video. I've had my share of shitty emulation already.
Now, I understand the value in variable bit rates for efficency's sake. Unless I am wrong OGM supports supports VBR just fine. Now what would the use of variable frame rate be? Virtuall all video I can think of operates at a set frame rate for given display formats. (Mabye I'm just ignorant but hey, that seems useless)
Yes, wind waker was about as easy as it comes. There were exceptions in a couple dungeons that had what seems like infinite monsters, or another that required you to dive dozens of levels deep with almost NO items given out. When it came to sailing, you just plot your course around the wind. Also, you do know you could do fast turns by jumping your boat don't you?
When it came down to it however, I loved the plot and thought the ending was fantastic, and most importantly, had fun while getting there.
As for animal crossing... The reason I had stopped playing was I collected so much stuff that I began to loathe organizing it all. My stuff is still scattered out on the patio in front of my house! There is still tons of things to do in the game that I may finish in my lifetime. When you think about it, Animal Crossing is sort of a zero-sum collect 'em all game. The long-term appeal of the game is finding some of the more ultra-rare items tucked deep within the game's world.
Well, Metroid Prime was possibly the best game I have played in a long time, hands down. The game will take 20 hours to beat and chances are you will like it so much the first time through you will want to play it again on the harder difficulty. Ignore anyone who says the controls suck-- they might take 30 minutes to get them down pat, but the whole game was designed with the control scheme in mind and you won't regret it.
If your looking for a serious challenge, Mario Sunshine is rather fun. The levels range from insanely fun to mind-bendingly frustrating. Just because it's not the greatest mario ever don't mean you can't have fun playing it.
Monkey ball 1 & 2 can be had for farily cheap and provide hours of single-player enjoyment, and many many more hours of multiplayer goodness. The minigames are a total blast with any crowd.
Same goes for Super smash bros melee. Play the single player modes to unlock characters and levels and more game modes and then go nuts with four player fighting action. If you have any friends at all you can't go wrong with this one, especially at $30.
Zelda the Wind Waker was a fantastic game that kept me glued to the screen. This is one of those games that you can fly through or spend a while finding some of the extra stuff. The cell shading was great and anyone who says different is lying or stuipd!;)
If you like to spend every waking moment playing a game, Animal Crossing just might be for you. One of the more out there titles to be had but damn, there is alot to just 'do'. One of those games you either love or you hate. To give you an idea, those who have had it are complaining that it has been out for a year and they are running out of stuff to do (playing just about every day!). Where else do you get months of gameplay like that? Nowhere!
Those are all games that have spent waaaay to much of my time, and many of them are just plain good enough to merit purchasing a console just for that game! My gamecube has always got the longest sessions of 'quality time' out of me...
Yes, $99 at this time of year is going to spurn alot of sales by owners of the other two consoles. Anyone who considers themselves to be a 'True Gamer' cannot ignore the stellar titles that have shown up on the GC. Platform is irrelavant when it comes to good games!
However, come the end of november you won't be able to find a cube ANYWHERE. Every little kid without a game system is going to be getting a gamecube for xmas. The installed base is about to go up. Way up.
Exactly. Every time I check out the plugins page I spot some new one that is cool enough to merit installing. Virtually every 'itch' you could have while using squirrelmail in terms of features/functionallity has been 'scratched' by a plugin already.
For those of you who like to do your own thing, but still want the webmail then look no further than Squrrel Mail.
Chock full of features and can be configured to your heart's content with the robust plugin system. I've been using it as my sole email client for over two years now without regret.
Find a cheap domain hosting provider that gives imap access and php support and your set.
I remember watching an episode of Nova where a dude had lost the use of his legs and one arm. They implanted some electrodes in his arm that allowed him to open and close the grip on the one hand by shrugging his sholder to activate a switch.
Later they experimented with a special hat that read brain waves and allowed him to learn to control a box on the screen up and down. Once he had mastered the binary up/down control by pure thought, they connected it to his arm and just by thinking he could open and close his hand as any normal man should.
Upcoming game pac-man world 2? You mean that game that came out almost two years ago for the GC and PS2? The game that had some shitty camera control making the death-defying leaps impossible?
I used to avoid consoles like the plague, until I realized that I was missing out on such a wealth of gaming to be enjoyed without constant upgrades or hassles often associated with getting crap to run.
When I worked for a car dealership (doing computer stuff, not sales) Subaru decided that the prices on accessories were too high. To correct this they lowered the list price. Not the cost mind you, but MSRP. Now the dealers were force to take a paycut while Subaru kept the same profit margin.
I would not be suprised to find out that the cut in list price on the cds was much greater than the cost the stores pay.
except if the person with the key wants to change the winner of an election he can do that with impunity.
Oh really! that is quite interesting. (this is a test)
Lies.

Re: Your question.
YES.
You are the only one. Sorry to break it to you.

It does? Then how come any domain I make up and email to will bounce instantly?
There would be nothing to stop them from adding a DRM container around the OGM file. Heck, chances are they are doing that already.
1. Xvid or Divx containered in OGM format can support 5.1 and subtitles, with *amazing* quality in 1400 MB.
;)
2. With your average 1.5 Mbit cablemodem connection that is just over two hours for 1400 MB, so give a little queue time.
3. Just over $200 for an Xbox and a mod chip.....
4. If I could be legit and do this... well....
How is it a troll? I wasted my $50 fucking dollars when this came out two years ago. It fucking sucked.

Yah, I'll pass on that one.
GBA's linked in multiplayer have perfectly synched music. Its actually quite cool.
