    the issue with cell phone coverage is NOT how spread out they are... in japan the population is much more dense so each cell tower must accomodate MORE people than in the USA... also in japan land prices are extremely high so companies cant afford to put cell towers everywhere... eachon must have to spread over a wide area AND accomodate HUGE numbers of people...

    ... this product is designed for non technical users... oh yah and you need IE5.0 or higher... i wonder what the good old feds are going to have to say about maybe giving some real encryption ro regular people...

    personally i think this is a good project BUT once again im afraid we may have to defend it from the same old DMCA/PATRIOT nonesense...

    a good thing to do is set it so anything modded as troll or flaimbate goes to -5... that way you can browse at -1 almost safely without blatent page wideners and goatsex linkers... also set it to anything modded funny is +2... i dont like to miss the funny stuff ;)

    its not "faked" but its ow quality copies with packaging that looks similar... they are either consumer grade blank vhs or burned dvds... these are what you must look out for...

    area of coverage is NOT the biggest issue to deal with in cell phone coverage...

    japan's population is MUCH more dense so you cant have cell towers spread about like we do in the US... the problem with planning a system like japan is you need to be able to accomodate a huge number of people witha small number of towers...

    the other big problem is land if japan is NOT cheap... its so expensive you cant just throw towers up everywhere... you must think wisely... this is what they have done...

    im sorry but your wrong... usually their phones sound BETTER than the US not worse... face it All your good cell phone technology is belong to Japan... wy dont we quit denying that they have done it better than us and just learn from them...

    now now... lets not brag about whos connection is bigger... im on 128/608 for $60 but im perfectly happy... know why?... my ISP (speakeasy) runs a mirror of rpmfind.net ... i get fresh rpm's for my mandrake boxes... that and i ping 40 on good servers... speakeasy is just plain smooth... look into it www.speakeasy.net

    actually in japan brand name is an even bigger issue than in america... look at the huge numbers of generic ripoffs that CLAIM to be the real thing... this is too bad because it makes it difficult to find REAL import anime... as for reliable i would just have to dissagree... two words "planned obsolescence"... things either break down or are no longer good enough way too fast...

    is this possibly Hi-Ho your talking about??? i cant read the kanji's on their site which explain all the technical details so i really dont know wht they offer but i can hear what they say on the video so i know they are som bad ass ISP...

    it isn't very easy to get broadband in the USA... in fact you must either be within 15,000 feet from a central dsl box (usually only populated areas) or have cable tv... cable tv is very expensive and you add the internet it gets very expensive leaving really only dsl for those who have to watch their money... MANY people cannot get dsl you jsut dont hear about em... well because they arent on the internet as much as other people :)... i just moved into an area that can get dsl and im VERY hapy to be paying my $60 a month for a conenction with 128k upload speed... take what you can get...

    when is called "football" is brazil is commonly called "soccer" in the USA... the XFL is not a soccer league its a failed "american football" league... "soccer" or football is way to simple to need any new additions...

    cell phone quality........ nope

    europe and aisa have better quality systems because companies are willing to risk large amount of capital to setup a good system... and its paying off... almost everyone can afford a cell phone so they now have several BILLION customers... any of you out there who work in a large company can answer this:

    what would it be your your company to have several BILLION customers...

    sorry but americans are too picky and competition to too hard for anyone to move in andd do a lot in america... and now cable companies dont even have to share their lines... American audio/video distribution is going down the shitter i fear but maybe we can take an example from where its working and fix this sometime soon...

    actually brazil was introduced to footbal VERY recently compared to "pasta" and "vodka"...

    the difference is that you dont need to upgrade to football v2 anytime soon... i hope :)

    u SURE about that one?... Hideo Kojima made that one... IN JAPAN...

    who needs an iPod for $400 when you can get a much better on at half the price in japan...

    also they dont need palm pilots or handsprings or crosspads when they have CELL PHONES than can do the same thing...

    unfortunatly for us in the USA the cell phone system of Aisa is WAY better than here... its a ground up implimentation and there is none of this patchwork BS that we have to put up with... its cheaper and i know from people who have told me out of personal experiance that they work EVERYWHERE... none of this roaming, analog zone, digital zone, BS...

    face it in japan they get the same tech only sooner...

    ...before you read the article... ...dont even bother to read it... ...its just more mindless guesses like "the japanese seem to be good with technology" nonesense... the reasons in the article have nothing to do with the real reason which is much mor complex... the entire economy of japans workes different than The US and so say that it plays no factor is nonesense...

    this is not a troll or flaimbait... i am simply dissagreeing with the article on its quality of info not on anything else...

    not only does mandrake have what you listed but it has a HUGE number of "little things" added on... minor improvement to make things easy... the 'drake tools are AWSOME and i NEVER have to load up config.conf or whatever the hell... all configs that you need as long as your not getting DEEP into the system can be done in the gui... personally myself i DO load up text files and tweak them but my mom and brother are NEVER going to care about that... all they care about is being able to get their email and if something is wrong even THEY can fix it...

    with the rio players you dont have to burn anything to change your playlist... it is true that it can load winamp playlists off the cd but you have a multiple line lcd to scroll around and make you OWN playlist which is stored on the cd... even if you take the cd out and put a newone in it can save all the data for the last 10 cd's put in... thats 7 gigs of mp3... the overpriced iPod cant get 7 gigs in less than $150...

    ou have a good point... think of NAFTA... its an example of how Canada and The US are becoming more and more intertwined...

    i live in washington state so i have gone to cananda more than a few times and let me tell any of you who dont go there much... its almost the same country... nothing feels different when you go there... the money is a different color and a few thing you can notice but cananda and the us are VERY similar... which means the SAME companies that are buying America are buying Canada... you can thank NAFTA for that...

    But this is not entirely the same as star wars... the lines between good and evil are not so clear...

    China is both good and evil because its an oppressive communits government... but its also doing very well for many of the people as the country expands...

    Falun Gong is good because its the "under dog" trying to speak freely and practice what they want... it is also evil because there have been soem credible reports showing that Falun Gong is closer to a cult than just a bunch of dancers...

    How do you think Falun Gong can get the money to operate against the chinese govt??? they sure cant go around asking for donations...

    Now im not saying either is "evil" all together and personally i DO supprot Falun Gong... BUT my point is that good and evil is not so clear as it comes in movies...

    get a rio cd/mp3 player... you get 700 megs of mp3 OR wma OR wav files... its under $100 and has 2 mins anti-skip and a nice lcd to display the id3 tags... if 700 megs isn't enough memory for you then you need to shell out hte cash for an iPod...

    they ont HAVE to claim their code is clean room... as long as no code is copy-pasted over then its ok... if there is some type of bug or other problem in the code and he knows HOW to fix it but not the exact code he CAN tell them how to do that... he can give them ideas about what to do as ong as he doesn't drop in some code...

    my point was that you dont have to worry about a leak in the water system... if it does leak its not that big of a deal... any water cooling system that is made today should not leak at all... there is very little pressure and the parts are made of good material so rjust becuase there is water involved doesn't mean people should stay away...
