    actually 14/17 of a million is $823,529.41... not exatly 200K(not k as in 1024 mind you)...

    maybe a better way of saying this is just plain old 200,000/1 or 200,000 whole dollars?

    this is the main reason water is cooling is best... many new cpu's run MUCHJ hotter than ever before as transistors are crammed in there... personally here is what i do:

    1. UNDERclock the cpu
    2. run a cooling system on passive dissipation (no fan)
    3. enjoy silent computing
    4. mumble mumble
    5. profit (ok im working onthis one... im considering starting a service where i go to people's houses and tune their computers... like for real cheap make it quite and a little faster)

    i would NOT sudjest that... the water is your bathtub is NOT jsut water... all the impuritites such as the soap and other bits that come in tab water make it conductive... the water used in water cooling systems is purified so it doesn't clog up or create builup in the pipes... the main problem with water cooling over air cooling is condensation which is easily solved bymost setups

    first of all i dunno how i get modded offtopic as im discussing where anime is sold but anyway... im not saying i wont go to a specialty store... in fact i do and thats the only place i can get it other than the internet or a few at the local rental shop... the thing im saying is that i wish mroe stores carried anime... oh well... i bet most of the people on /. wished more stores carried anime but this wont happen unless people see anime as more than something that goers with table top RPG's and other stuff most people arent into... anime is a perfectly normal form of film and i beleive that if more stores carried it they would get business for it...

    the problem with this is that a mirror cannot reflect verymugh more tehn 80% of the energy from the laser so very quickly the mirror would break and indeed the rocket WOULD get shot down... this time i think im GLAD we have bush to miss manage the missile defense system enough so an explorer can do what he wants without the fear of blindness or death...

    diagrams and plans isn't the only art you can make money off of... do you think that if a painting went up that was painted by a blind person it might sell?... in art one of the best ways to sell is to be differnet... have something in your art that nobody else does... i think being blind while painting is a good start...

    BSD IS DY^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H... uhm... well i assume that there wouldn't be very much to change from BSD or Linux... as long as your card would work i your system the OS is invisible to the rest of the network... this book focuses on more than just software configuration in the OS...

    this is not true... a hockey net is 6'x4' so i doubt that ANYONE is 6' wide... also a puck is MUCH smaller than a soccer ball.. a hockey puck can be shot between the legs or arms of a goalie AND a hockey can player has much mnore room to move around a hockey goalie... in fact a player can go behind the goal unlike football...

    if you arent lucky enough to find a place to show anime in theater like the parent i would advise going to your local chine town and looking for REAL imports... you can often times find good quality movies WITH subtitles and for much cheaper... and you can find all sorts of pockey that you cant get in america right there also...

    Let me say first I have nothing against geek-oriented establishments but...

    personally i dont want to go into a store where most of the stuff there is stuff im not interested in such as tabletop RPG's and assorted anime items other than videos... sorry but i like anime for its quality not for the whole genre... i dont walk around with a shirt that says "MOMENTO ROCKS" on it nr do i want to wear one that displays animer logo's... so i would probably no be interested in much other than the pockey :)... but even then iuf i want that i go to the china town supermarket where they have at least 200 different kinds of pockey :)...

    so i understand that this type of shop works fine for many people i would rather find a regular video store where they stock good anime other than going to a totally unrelated shop and havng to look around to find the anime...

    no offense to you because you probably dont play hockey but... this is SOOOO not true... personall i DO play hockey... im a goalie too (maybe that explains my bias towards hockey goalies :))... i know from experiance that regarless of where there stick is pointing you simply cannot tell where the puck will go... a shooter can change the position of the stick while he takes a shot which easily makes any guessing you just did useless... the only thing a hockey goalie can do is move out and cut off the angles and readjust a little... very few goalies can react quick enough to a shot to stop it after its been released by the shooter... goalies of this skill level are the ones who end up in the NHL... THAT is why its fun to watch... in the NHL (and even semi-pro) the goalies can be on a completly different level then anyone else in the world which makes it fun to watch...

    what im wondering is if this will kill starcraft... i STILL enjopy playing starcraft but if another killer FPS from blizzard comes online i think SC will be abandoned in droves leaving only a few hardcore behind...

    I dont mean to diss on socc^H^H^H^H football but if you want to see some incredible looking goaltending watch some hockey. Football goaltending is good if you know how to appreciate it but if you watch hockey anyone can see some beautiful saves. In hockey the goaltender must stop an 8 ounce black puck made of vulcanized rubber from passing into the net... going sometimes upwards of 100mhp. What you expect goalies to do sound like EXACTLY what a hockey goalie SHOULD do. So leave football alone and watch some hockey...

    the bill of rights is what makes all this outcry on slashdot about "our rights" possible... if it wasn't for that bill of rights (the constitution too) then we wouldn't be allowed to say what we say here... nor would we even have any rights to fight for...

    maybe this is true... nobody can really say... but one thing is for certain... the US doesn't WANT to control the world... if it did than it would have to protect everyone under their rights and as it is now we (as americans... yes ALL of us) make profit off countries that dont run themselves like us... the world cannot support one giant US... not the way we live it now...

    i heard abou a guy on a mountain once... spam saved his life... he went up there with his buddy... they got stuck in an avalance and he had to eat his buddy who died of being hit by a rock... this is after he ate all his rations and even his buddies... the onl thing he didn't eat was the spam ... he eventually ate the spam right before he starved and was rescued... so you see... spam can save your life if you eat it... it can also take your life with its high sodium content and lack of comparable nutrition to calories rate...

    Although The Who are not known for having number of nerd fans this doesn't matter. CmdrTaco admits that he posted this mostly because of his own "obsession" of The Who. This is his site so if you dont like it dont bitch. Personally i like The Who and im glad i saw it but there are other stories i DONT. You know what i do? I dont read em... thats its.

    that is half true...

    during your late teen years your body will use oxygen more efficiently and your muscles will require less energy to work... overall your body is more efficient but you have not had the time to build a large muscle mass or develop an all around endurance for your body...

    Having the pilot inside the vehicle means that the enemy cannot jam the controls as easy. This leads to problems with the idea of teenagers driving these. The g-forces of movement and other movement realted issues are always a problem but the military puts a lot of effort into training their pilots about such issues. A real pilot must be VERY healthy to fly in a combat situation...

    in a movie like this you cannot think too hard about the timeline of certain actions... take it like it is... the jury is still out how time would work if we could look ahead or travel back so the thing to do is watch its like its meant... certain plot points dont have to be perfect... this movie is about what would happen if... so take it like it is and concentrate on what we DO need to decide about... that is what are YOU and I going to do to make sure this doesn't happen... this is the more important discussion...

    Well personally the bes way i find to fix it would be to arm your gift buyer with a list. Give exact make/model info and make em stick to it. Not as uch fun as getting surprised but it works. The other option that usually turn ou of ok ia gift certificate, that way if YOU go into the store and see something NEW you can change your mind.:)
