Having both the old x86 and new 64-bit instructions on the same CPU is a
nice thing for users. They can still run their old apps, but they should
also see that native 64-bit programs are much faster. That way, they have
the incentive to upgrade the software. If they do this as planned, AMD's
next line of processors could well be purely 64-bit.

Mr. Anonymous, what good is an economy if you're unable to breathe and
live? The whole 'economic' world view is hopelessly shortsighted. Money
doesn't have any value at all, and you'll realize it by the time this
planet is scorched dead as the by-product of capitalism.
OK, so if I steal a material object, then my hand should be chopped off.
Conclusion: If I make an illegal copy of Word, they should take a copy of
my hand and chop $hand;
AFAIK, a kind of justification for chopping the hand off, is that it makes
it more difficult for you to steal again... so the same punishment should
go for almost any criminal action. (Speed driving? Chop off their right
foot.)
Of course, but it'll probably be bad enough if people call it HURD instead
of
GNU/HURD.

My absolute favourite so far is "cat shannon1948.ps >/dev/dsp". It's quite spooky as the paper deals with information and sampling, and you hear these patterns of beeps. Some other PostScript files also have nice techno sounds.
The article mentions the use of internal feedback (usually unwanted) and noise in sound cards, to produce these minimalist sounds. Macs must be quite noisy if they are good for it...;-)
??? How could he talk about "bandwidth" in 1994? I thought Microsoft invented the Internet in 1995 when they integrated MSIE with Windows.;-) And "bandwidth" is a purely Internet concept that has nothing to do with radio waves.;-]
To go in line with Italian chicks, they will probably add some extra curvature.
North Bridge!

So, when Perl 6.final is released, will the release notes be called "Apocalypse. Now"?
Hmm, come to think of it, they did mention Windows where the file type is determined from its 3-character suffix... :-/
C:\>shipdisk
Ich bin ein Laden.
Or did you mean S/S Titanic perhaps? ;-)

Let's talk about glory when the USA joins the Kyoto treaty.

What about Miss Universum?
United Linux == Limited Unix
So perhaps 'gnurd' is just the perfect name for a geek OS!

It's been working just fine on Canon BJC-4400.
Why use those kits anyway? Fountain pen ink, applied with a pipette, is waaay cheaper, and just as easy. You might even say, smarter :-)
Besides, the USA is progressing towards the metric system, inch by inch, so not to worry.
With me and pr0n, it's my urethra that's the real bottleneck.

Perhaps Wolfram has seen further, because he is surrounded by midgets. (In the intellectual sense, of course.)
RMS is an OSShole. The black hole that sucks all OSS and declares $it GNU/$it.
No, but at least it makes your comment NP-clever.
