I hate to say it but I'm almost glad it's dead. I used to be on the LRP mailing list when it was pretty active a few years ago. This Dave Cineg dude behaved like a real asshole at times and probably put a lot of people off from participating. I hope someone else picks it up who knows how to 'play nice' because it _IS_ a worthwhile endeavor.
I have a used CD/DVD store near me. The place charges almost the same as new stuff. I went in once and never went back. I find better prices at Walmart. This is in the cnetral jersey area. How is it around the country (USA, that is)?
I was busily dloading wma files when i got a 'not allowed' messagr from the web server. then it started going to http://www.mp3mediaworld.com/ instead of the original site. It looks like someone grabbed the DNS
Nowadays, it pays to have a 'junk PC' for running all your spyware/crapware. I have a machine that I built once and ghosted the image. I then run kazaa and some gnutella and napster clients. I download all sorts of junk and test it there. I keep the thing in a DMZ. The occasional virus or worm results in my having to rebuild the image. It's worth the trouble to keep from having to rebuild my primary machine with stuff I actually need.
I like that weird litle dude with the squeaky nose on Ally MacBeal.... or DareDevil... DareDevil can kick ass any lawyers he can't out-lawyer.
