    They simply engineer the system to optimize the car for the mileage test. This means that it works best when driven exactly as required by the test. When you deviate from that method the mileage falls off. With a small, underpowered car the fall off will be greater percentage wise than bigger cars that generally have extra torque and power and can better handle more agressive driving without overworking the engine. A lot of people are finding that these newer trucks that get great gas mileage when used as a car use much more gas than the bigger trucks do when towing because they're straining to pull the load. My Dad's old 454 Chevy Suburban got 11.5 miles driving around town and about 11 miles per gallon pulling our travel trailer. When I drove it I could hardly tell the trailer was behind us without looking. A friend borrowed our trailer and behind his 351CI equiped Ford pickup he got 6 miles per gallon where without a load he got about 15MPG. If you tow all the time you need to buy a tow vehicle and not a car disguised as a truck.

    There is some virtue in "tried and true." I think systemD may not be as bad as a lot of people make out but then I don't really know that it was all that needed either. Either way though I can't tell much as a user that it has changed under the hood of the latest linux distro I run. Currently running SparkyLinux which is a Debian derivitive.

    Really? Where were you when microsoft forbed Vista off on everyone? The IT guys where I work spit flame and venom every single time someone uttered the term Vista. I learned a lot of new vocabulary during that period. I've spent most of my life in or working for the military and I was impressed by the obscenity and profanity laced invective.

    I expect they just let his employers know they didn't appreciate the criticism and if they didn't do something about it they'd feel like his employers supported his view. I expect that's all it took. They probably wet their pants then fired him in a panic.

    Now, now, no need to get snippy. I didn't say the muslims were right, only that the crusades should be considered a war. The war you speak of was back many centuries prior when the Rashidun Caliphate wrested control of the area from the Byzantine Empire. Ancient history and very bloody but I"m having a problem with the "100's of millions" thing. Very strong exageration that is.

What has damaged this country more than anything is the two mafias that alternate control in DC. The side out of power actually cheers as the side currently in power fucks the country up.
