Too late for all that. Christie allready apologized at length and fired the staffer involved. I don't get it anyway. How was closing lanes to a bridge going to hurt the mayor of Fort Lee? It inconvenienced a lot of the people in the area but they overwhelmingly voted for Christie anyway. The whole thing sounds idiotic. Is he hiring 7th graders for his staff or something? I would have broken his legs or something if I was angry with him. A traffic jam? Really?

What the hell? You must not read any Apple blogs. Apple's customers constantly bitch and complain to and about Apple. The problem is most of them feel they have nowhere else to go. Windows is so fucked and Linux is too much trouble for most of them.

I remember back in the days of the Amiga and the Video Toaster when they ruled for 3d I saw a rendering farm composed of an Amiga 4000 networked to 200 pentium computers. The Video Toaster in the A4000 was using them for rendering the frames. I wish I could remember what company was doing that, it was the early 90's and I was blown away.

I can see why you'd like light and thin. I don't really care though as I'm pretty used to lugging a pump shotgun and 2 or 3 boxes of shells all over hell's half-acre. I have an old HP 8710W that weighs a huge amount and I happily lug it around because it works great and I like a heavy, steady platform with a lot of screen space. That's Apple's problem. They decide on what they want to do and that's it. They really don't give a shit if you want something else. It's also their one of their strengths. It works for them.

To heck with schools. I think I'd like one. Finally large enough to be able to use. The market for tiny devices for people with microscopic vision is saturated. Time for a tablet people can actually see. I looked at an iPad but it's just too small. The mini is okay as a book reader but I can use anything for that, no need to spend that kind of money on a book reader.
