They rank just a fraction above pedophiles on my hate list. In fact, I feel some sympathy for pedos. They are compelled by some flaw in their psychy to do what they do and I wish they'd just shoot them and so end their misery as well as the danger they represent. Not spammers though. These low lifes who choke the life out of the internet deserve to be kept alive for many years in a dark, dank cell with a raving, angry sexually depraved criminal as a "buddy." Mod me down if you wish but I fucking hate spammers.

Well I think the fact that the IRS did target political opponents of the administration is so obvious now that only the most steadfast supporters of the Obama administration deny it. The events leading to the death of the ambassador were largely an almost comic display of incompetence and stupidity and not the big conspiracy that the right makes it out to be. The lies they told were to try in a pathetic way to make it seem they were not absolute and total idiots. As for the NSA tracking every communication I seriously doubt that. Only because the job is a little too large even for their network so that they have to make some compromises to limit the truly extraneous stuff. The fast and furious stuff played out before Congress on CSPAN. They have no Fox News affiliation I know of. Of course you probably think CSPAN is right wing tv too because it's not MSNBC.

Public schools get a lot of federal funding. That is part of the problem as federal funding comes with federal regulations. Public schools have to put up with a lot of silly rules that have little to do with education. Unfortunately a lot of the private schools were set up not with excellence in mind but simply so that rich white kids don't have to associate with poor whites and blacks. At least they don't, for the most part, have to deal with the disruptions and lack of discipline which is the standard in the public schools.

People are a product of their times. While true that Mandela embraced violence he felt that he had no choice at the time. Terrible acts were being committed against his people by the government of South Africa. I think most telling was that when he finally overcame and was elected president he did not use that power to trample the former oppressors but instead used his power to heal his country. I think I was most impressed by how instead of imprisoning and executing former secret police he had them confess on video their crimes and then pardoned them. Some criticized him for this but they miss the beauty and power of the act. By having them confess on video he broke these men and made them small. If he had executed them in a wave of bloodshed then the backlash would have caused South Africa to take decades to heal, if ever. The legacy of these men will be forever shame and disgrace as is that of the apartheid regime. No hero is perfect and I feel that Mandela genuinely deserves the term.
