I could not figure out who they were polling. Romney sucked so bad a lot of Republicans actually preffered four more years of Obama. At least let him get the blame for all the negative shit that has to eventually hit the fan. I figured I would rather have a real socialist in the Whitehouse than a socialist who pretends he's a conservative. I remember when all those candidates for the Republican nomination were debating I told my wife that they'd pick Romney and she asked why and I told her, because he's my least favorite and that's the way the Repubs have been running since Reagan. Ronnie was the last Republican to actually believe in less government, the last 2 bastards just grew it and if Romney had gotten elected he'd have grown it even more than Obama. Maybe when government runs every single tiny little part of our lives they'll finally be satisfied......but I doubt it.

I did edit some stuff on my linux laptop a while back and I have to say it's gotten a lot better although I tend to agree with you somewhat. I've edited some stuff with kdenlive and openshot on linux and both worked okay but I keep Macs around for video work. It's just so much easier to work with the applications there. Since I bought a Quad I-7 mini video editing has become drastically quicker as well as easy.

It doesn't take me but a few hours if it's a good torrent to download but my upload speed is a fraction of my download so it takes days to keep my ratio at about 2 to 1. If I had 20MB upload to match the download it'd be a lot better. It's just so simple to stop at the redbox as it's on my route home and it takes a minute or two to rent a couple of discs and then the next day I just drop them back off. No hassle and it is only a little over a buck to rent Blu-Rays. The quality is at least as good as anything I've seen on TPB and better than a lot of it.

The damn things fell out of the sky all the time without ever being shot at. It's one of the worst fighters ever built from the standpoint of crashes per flying hour. Single engine fighters are idiotic and should be banned for the sake of the poor pilots that have to fly them. The best thing about the Falcon was it was cheap, also the worst thing about them other than a tendency to crash.

I've gotten to where I'd rather rent a movie and rip it than download it. Most really good blu-ray rips are in the neighborhood of 10 gigabytes and I can just drop by Redbox and pick up a few, take them home and rip them and drop them back at the Redbox the next day. Then I watch them when I feel like it using my WD TV Live HD player hooked to my TV. It looks just as good as it does through the blu-ray player then I can keep the movie if it's worth rewatching ( about 1 out of 20 ) or just delete it. I now only download old movies that aren't easily available otherwise.

I agree. You should get a second mortgage on your house and invest in those batteries. Government should invest in infrastructure not products. They could buy some high tech green energy stuff like maybe the newest solar panels and paste them allover Federal buildings nationwide, that would be fine and cool but investing in products by just giving money to corporations and hoping it works out is not for tax dollars but private investment.

Even though Veoh is out of business the record companies lost a lot in this. Veoh may be gone but any attempt to treat someone else this way will cause severe penalties. You can run this scam once and then the courts get wise to it and punish you for trying to sue someone when it was made clear to you previously that you didn't have a case. Anyone else they sue will get attorney fees and the right to counter sue for harassment.

All companies get tax credit for research and development because that is a legitimate business expense. It's not profit but it helps build their ability to compete. I don't get why you fail to understand a basic principal of business that has existed for decades. To tax a company on money they spend in research is basically to destroy that company although if they target all oil and gas companies they will all simply raise prices and their customers will pay the tax. Thus people struggling to survive in a shitty economy get hammered a little more because you can bet the CEOs of these companies aren't going to miss any stock options. It's just another way to raise taxes on the American people by proxy.
