I know I typically format all thumb drives to NTFS which works on my Mac, Linux Boxes and WDTV Live. I have lots of media files larger than 4GB. If the SD card is formated for NTFS or EXT would the system recognize it on the Nexus?
I support free speech. I don't see any reason to enable some foreign politician to come here to spout off. He's free to stay in Pakistan and hate on us all he wants. I applaud him for it. Yes we aren't Iran. We've got free speech and no one has stopped him from speaking. If this was Iran and he criticized their leadership his head would be missing, but he knows that.
So theocracies get a free pass? It's okay for them to kill people who don't agree with them but it's wrong for the US to simply say "we don't want you coming here if it's just to criticize us"? He's free to speak his mind but no, he's not free to come here just to criticize us and that's really all he was doing.
The key is that he's not free to "come here and do it." Think about it, coming to the US, or any other country you're not a citizen of is not a right. If he's coming here to stir up shit we are entirely within our rights to reject him.
I'd say he's free to speak but not necessarily free to come to the US to do it. People disagree with the government here all the time but generally they are citizens with at least that much standing. I see people all the time that harangue against the US government and it's policies with no repercussions. I think if many people who sneer at the free speech of the US were to travel to Iran and start talking about how Mohammed liked to butt fuck little boys they'd find out just what intolerance is. Try to keep a little perspective.
Highways, with the exception of the interstates is mostly up to the individual states and drinking water is mostly local government. As for air travel, well it's pretty screwed since 9/11 but at least the hijackings have stopped although I think that is maybe as much due to lack of passenger tolerance of it as anything else. The military, blowing people and things up, is what the Feds are actually very good at.
What kind of cop you think you get for 10.25 an hour? I know what you get where I live for that and it's someone who can't get a job that requires any thought processes. Damn they pay almost that much for the guy at the McDonald's drive through window.
I know you're just kidding. Anything that is in the public view is open to be photographed. How do you think the fucking paparazzi get away with sticking their cameras in the face of celebrities? This is just another example of why there should be a law requiring security and police forces to make a real living wage. This is the kind of shit you get when you pay 8 dollars an hour for your security guards. If they actually payed a decent wage they could hire people with more than half a brain.
Never said people swap batteries. I stated most people want to be able to. Even if you never use an option that doesn't mean you want that option removed. I might like to swap the battery but if I can't then I resent that you've limited what I can do with my phone. I know it may make no sense but people buy things all the time that make no sense. It's about want, not need.
Truly this is the reason for the failure of communism. People are just people, no matter what political system you have there will be corruption because people are greedy. Communism assumes people will not be greedy and is doomed for this reason. Capitalism assumes people are greedy and tries to channel and focus this greed. Capitalism often fails as well because greed is an enormous thing and very difficult to control but at least the understanding of the problem is there. Ultimately even the leaders of Communist nations don't believe in Communism but just use it to their own benefit.
I've seen this a lot. Guys that are enthusiasts have a lot of influence. I came late to the smartphone market but a friend of mine sold a lot of iPhones for Apple by showing off what his could do. It didn't help that he had owned the original droid and ditched it for the iPhone the minute Verizon started selling it. When a guy that's obviously very knowledgeable starts telling his friends how much better he likes the iPhone than the Droids it is better than any TV ad.
I can't say one way or the other about the cameras. I've never bought a phone for a camera or a camera for a phone. I can see that many people, maybe even most, use their phone as their camera but I really haven't seen any phone that takes pictures as good as a good camera.
You've never swapped a battery in phones so you made the decision that felt right to you. Most people seem to prefer being able to swap batteries out so HTC made a decision that was bad for them and HTC. I happen to love linux but if Dell was to decide tomorrow to stop shipping windows and put linux on all their computers I think Dell would tank quickly. Just because I love linux doesn't mean squat to 98+% of the people out there.
Are you serious? Everywhere I went they were pushing the HTC One. I kept having to tell them no SD card was a deal killer for me. If I wanted a phone with no replaceable battery and no SD card slot I'd buy an iPhone. I finally found someone that still had the Samsung I wanted. Strangely everyone had plenty of HTC Ones.
I'd love to see Railroad Tycoon 2 redone to play on modern equipment. The gameplay is great but I'm having to use an older linux distro in a VM to get it to run at all.
I think tablets may one day rise to the level they make the casual PC a thing of the past but I don't see it happening soon. Maybe 10 years down the road or so. I have a samsung 5 inch Galaxy Media Player and love it but it sees a lot less use then my Mac Mini or even my HP laptop. The mini has a quad core i7 in it and I still manage occasionally to saturate it's CPU.

Actually it was his vision. Without Jobs there is no vision. I wonder how long the momentum will hold up.
Never under estimate the value of eye candy.
They have so much money it's sinking the ship.

I know, that reading thing is hard isn't it?
How about if no one listens.

I don't think it applies to Pakistan.

Orwell was brilliant.

Damn. That was good. I salute your viciousness oh anonymous one.
