Really if the terrorist can impersonate a pilot he has no need for a weapon at all. As we saw on 911, the aircraft IS the weapon. It's silly to bother checking the guy you're handing the plane to for weapons. Concentrate instead on making sure you're handing the plane off to the right guy.

No problem, all they have to do to compete is sell a 1+ ghz dual core equipped tablet with retina class graphics and plenty of storage and ram for $150. Easy. All it takes is bleeding off a few billion dollars. The only company I know of that does that just to crack open a new market is MicroSoft. I can't see anyone else throwing tons of money into a hole on the chance that when they start giving tablets away that Apple wont just jump to a new tablet that changes the game all over leaving them with billions gone and no market still. So far the only tablet I've seen that I like other than the iPad is the Galaxy Tab and frankly at the same price point I'll still take an iPad because iOS is still better although android is narrowing the gap quickly. I've got to say though...if I can find a tablet just as good as an iPad for $150 I'll take it.

Amazingly Ford managed to continue making money while producing Big Trucks and Muscle Cars. GM and Chrysler should have been allowed to fail. They are both grossly mismanaged. The government went into direct competition with Ford, if they hadn't propped up the other two then Ford would be the only US automaker and could easily compete with foreign car companies. There is a market for both traditional American cars and smaller foreign autos. Government interference in the market causes all kind of problems, much more than it helps.

Somalia is broken beyond any fixing. You'd have to kill everyone there to save them, it's that screwed up. If you go in and try to feed people you wind up fighting for your life because the warlords will be all over you. It's their territory and you are encroaching. You give the food to them and they distribute it...it's been tried and millions starved while the warlords sold the food to people with money. The poor just keep dying. The only solution is to take over the country and run it for a generation or two with an iron fist and teach the children how to be human. Nobody has that kind of determination, it's never going to happen. Too bad, where's Alexander the Great when you need him.
