I read the Anand article and the card is only available for PCI Express right now. So, we've either got to wait for Apple to add PCI Express to the Power Mac (probably WWDC) or ATI to release this as an AGP part.
Since no one linked to a PR from ATI, do you know if they announced a Mac version of this card? I'm considering replacing my 64MB 9600 with one of these bad boys. I knew the 512MB cards were coming and was biding my time.
You should just pronounce it like it is hyphenated.
But, this is the first I am reading of this. Why are they moving from CVS to Subversion? It would seem that if it lacks useful features available in CVS that KDE would stick with CVS.
This isn't teaching religion... it's teaching a theory
It isn't a scientific theory. It's a SWAG.
And frankly, the only reason to do this would be to promote atheism (which is a faith).
Atheism is not a faith.
Do you also think that religion shouldn't be mentioned in history class as well?
There is a difference between teaching religion and teaching about religion. There is nothing wrong with teaching about religion.
A local school just approved a history textbook that goes so far out of its way to paint history devoid of religion, that it doesn't mention the fact that the crusades were (at least in name) religious wars. That is, quite frankly, dishonest.
I'd imagine this is more due to pressure from theists than atheists. The theists want to repaint history with a brush that makes them look good.
(Consider this: for blood clotting to occur, one needs a dozen proteins to be present, none of which serve ANY OTHER PURPOSE in the absence of all of them. How could this evolve?)
This particular instance takes place in Pennsylvania. The last time I checked that wasn't in the South. It's either spreading or your stereotype isn't bearing out.
Teaching any form of religion in public schools does establish a state religion. As such, it violates the first amendment.
Once all of the theologians get their theocracy that they're so hungry for, I'll be the one laughing when they realize their particular brand of religion isn't the one being mandated.
There are actually a few space scenes in the trailer that don't have sound other than the soundtrack playing throughout the entire trailer. I noticed this the second time I watched the trailer. Most of the space craft scenes take place within an atmosphere.
I agree with you on all of the points you mentioned. I just rewatched it and I believe I saw one CGI shot with the same handheld look that I loved from the series. I hope it'll be the norm in the movie instead of the exception.
If congress is going to force companies to use one format it should be one without restrictions attached. Most of the readers here simply don't care about DRM which is why we aren't saying this should have been done six months ago.
Apple probably doesn't care about DRM either which is why they didn't show up.
You add a weight component to the formula used to calculate property tax on a vehicle and the taxes go to maintaining the roads and if any is left after that to researching alternate fuels.
That would be a far more important revelation for humanity than how a lightsaber works.
Agreed.
You've got to wonder how much Lucasfilm paid for that "article."
PCI-X does not equal PCI Express. Horrible naming, but not as confusing as USB 2.0 & USB 2.0.

We are fighting it. It's a slow process. We appeciate any assistance.
Oh, and don't make us bring up The Crusades!

So, you'd prefer to have DTDs for every item that you want to manage with launchd? I wouldn't.
H.264 version from Apple
Duration: 2:21
File size: 108 MB
Resolution: 1280x544
Video codec: H.264
Audio codec: AAC
You can also download the 1080 line version from the same page at 129MB.
Why don't you empower yourself to not buy or rent the movie in the first place?
I'd prefer to dump nuclear waste in a body of water. I think I'd only have to pay $50,000 for that.
I'm just glad he's focusing on terrorism.
You were thinking of Pixar where Steve Jobs is the majority shareholder.
I think Mr. Murphy should also inform Intel of this law of his.
You do realize there are multiple PDF readers, don't you?

Dude, Star Wars is set in the past not the future. You can't bring up George Lucas here.
I think Whedon's unique vision is that in the future America and China have joined forces as the last two countries to form a universal federation.

Insanely Grrrrreeeaaattt!
