So they would like to focus on Games. Gee like we don't have enough freaking Mag's reviewing games. Oh well let them, atleast they will know the true focus of a Microsoft Biased mag aimed towards a younger croud.
I don't think the applications should be writen to "buy" more users. They should be writen for stability and functionality first. Then start worrying about making it pretty.
This user would like everything to be point and click with out a CLI. Well we know of all the security issues of that alone. Besides how offten was he adding new hardware that required a kernel compile? Hell i installed RH 7.3 when it first came out and never had to recompile, reboot, or anything. The distro's these day do make internet connection easy, and even though I don't like it MDK is the best at helping the average joe/unexperienced person out. I think this person just wants all the glitter with no work, which is fine. At least we don't have a bunch of these people crying to the distro threatning not spend anymore money.
If you really wanna impress me why don't you build one like I did! You can shot a 20lbs weight 100 yards! Mind you the counter wieght was about 2 tons.
It might take a bit of learning BUT the power of the program is the you can get for "free". I love the program and I hope that this new journey will prove fruitful for it and the Linux community. I'm sorry NaN had to go out this way but at least the share holders were nice enough to acknowledge it's usefulness in the open-source world.
That's what MS would say. Those slant-eye bastards could never do anything right. We, MS could never make such a mistake.
Well unless we bet on the U.S beating Korea!;-P
STFU. Oh darn some porn/mp3 freaks, or plain crack d/l er's might have to pay more. SFW. Half of the country is still blessed with 56K! Well 53k thanx to the FCC. And from the buisness side, why not do it? The people that use that much will pay the higher price to keep it. The lower end users will think of it as a noble gesture from the company. Just as long as I have constant access and a good d/l rate for a distro or two is fine. You don't need 500kps to play an online game either!
I know Epson is in line with Linux and open source. They don't claim it without proper acknowledgment. Yet there are few companies that are headstrong about Linux like Nvidia. Yes Nvidia might only give a little source, but that is their right. At least they are developing for the Linux arena.
If the game developers start to support Linux then the Hardware will follow.
HCI, most geeks or computer brains do not think about HCI too much. HCI is more than making sure the colors on the screen match, it is a whole new world. With the rise in customer base within the market it is VERY important to recognize the importance of HCI.
Little box cubicles are not the answer, neither are $1000 chairs with a Bio-desk. If the corps would invest a little more they would not be paying so much in workman's comp.
So really who did? It took this long to "iron" these things out? Any good company would have done the research to expect these things. Well at leat M$ would have.

Fuck 'em if they can't take joke!
Q. Can I upgrade the operating system on a donated machine?
A. Well of course you can silly. Since Windows will be the only OS that we will accept into our generous Education initiatives, we will give you special price just %10 cheaper then a home license. But even better than that, as stated above you might need to purchase some additional hardware to be compatible with you current network. Don't fear though we know the perfect place to get it.
And if that is not a deal after spending $400 on new equipment $200 on a new license we will give you at a small fee $100/hr, a Technician whom is fully qualified and just out of the MSCE education, whom will gladly train you and your staff AFTER you inspect all of the donated computers.
Let them piss all over them selves. It's not like you can't hook a portable cd player with a digital out to a computer. So more people will do this and then there will be even more MP3's.
So when they actually get to use it you will have some yahoo thought a price tag on it. Besides it's the companies damn fault for not hiring good sys admins! It takes more than just reading one book to be a sys admin.

Now wounder why I kept getting porn adds in my e-mail.
So does this mean that the "Passport" will be more secured cuz only MS accepted companies will have it?

When he promises not to doc their pay!
It also proves how dumb the companies are and how affraid they are of customer action.
America is the only country where customers truely run the buisness, where the popular control the merchandise!--Fuck 'em if they can't take a joke!
