Let me tell you my friend that you have been brainwashed... In the US, we also have figurative speach, which is also protected by the constitution. This form of speach procets you in many ways. Because of this, flag buning is allowed, etc, etc.. If you say that you are going to kill the president because he is not doing the right thing.. you might be taken to court, buy most likely you are inocent because you said that using figurative speach... Now, if you say that you are going to kill the president and you have something in your house that might look like you were planning to kill him... you are in big, big trouble... So, censorship is only applied when the government is going to protect the citizens and their rights. After all, the US government (and I hope most of the governments in the world) main function is to protect the rights of every citizen (this is the idea behind the social contract)...

Let me tell you, that it might be way better if you leave the case on. When you do this and you have a good case, you get a positive air flow that helps the system to move heat out of the case. have you ever heard of the windchill effect? Well, the same effect in work here. The air will work as a heat carrier. If you have the case off, most likely there will not be any flow created in your machine, except of course of the fans you have. The problem still with the case off, is that the small flow that your fans will create is very small, and will move very little air... This might even recycle some of the air, therefore heating the air and the system....

This tax is very stupid.. Most of the replys I read, say exactly what I feel about taxing only to those "interested" in space. I just want to add, that from space explortation NASA has been able to push technology to the limits creating wonderful things.. Just think about lighter materials that are very resistant, etc.... So, everyone should be taxed anyways, because everyone is benefiting (sp?) from it.. even other countries...

Yes, I understand that help costs.. and that the US is one of the largest benefactors in the world like you say.. but the problem is that the US help is not always the right way... When US helps, we only do it when we are getting something big in return.. For this to happen we put some restrictions on the needing nation that they actually hurt that nation. And still we beieve we are helping when actually we are not doing that..

He is actually trying to get atention from those americans that still do not care about globalization. After all, what happened in 9/11 was somehow related to bad international affairs that the US is still maintaining. for globalization to really work we, the US, should try to take it more seriously and really help those in need... or we could do nothing and have more terrorism in our own nation.

  10. Actually this is important... on Globalism Post 9/11 · · Score: 1

I do not understand why everyone is esponding to the JonKatz post in such a negative way. This attitude is the reason that almost nobody in the world likes the US. Here in the US nobody wants to take a part in the world we live unless we are going to be in advantage of getting more money or power. Instead of doing more enemies, we should try to help other nations that could become our allies. By helping, I don't mean the way in the bad way we are doing. Everytime we "help" some nation, we always get something bigger in return. This is not always the right thing to do. I know we do not have the responsability to give help for free, but unfortunately we give help for such a high price. Still, we believe that we are the best helpers and that no one should mess with us. So, our politicians do not tell us that globalisation will starve to death millions of people. Instead they tell us it's a great thing. That with it, we are all going to do better business and even help other nations. Of course help them if they can pay the price, if not, then just send them all to hell. After all we are the strongest nation, so we should take advantage of it. I can not believe that nobody really cares about other people.. it disgust's me...

  12. Halo on AI in Video Games vs. AI in Academia · · Score: 1

Have you played Halo?? It's pretty difficult (specially Legendary). The enemy AI is pretty good, even the marines AI is good enough.. they'll cover you, avoid explosions, find enemies, work as a team, etc.. I read an interview with the halo's AI programmer and he said that their AI is so good that the computer never cheats... He also mentioned that the Legendary mode (most difficult) is actually the way the game was designed to be played.. They saw it was too difficult and they made the easier modes so that the player could cheat. By this I mean that they give weaker armour and weapons to the enemy and the human player actually gets better weapons and enemy. Therefore you don't give the enemy enought time to show you how good the AI is.. This way, the game makes you feel that the AI is not as good in the easier modes, but its the same.. I'll post where I read the interview when I find it..
