I support our troops, but question our government.
this is the most insigthful thing i have read so far. I also where against war, but now that there is no other way.. I support our troops. I would even go if we start loosing the war (this i really doubt). Plus, i dont understand why people take it that seriously.. I even heard someone said it was a "genocide." come on people, it also going to be good for the poor people of iraq. just read some history and you'll see all they have suffered.

Their example is the use of Windows CE in the BMW 745i, which apparently occasionally goes nuts.
I was actually surprised to see windows running in a police car. I would love to see any info on how reliable and how good the windows machines in the police cars are.
Are you one of those people who blames violence on video games? I don't know about you, but I don't have any trouble differentiating games and reality.

If you say that we learn to drive from videdeogames (like in your first post) then from analogy we can say we do "learn" to be violent from violent games.... so, the parent poster was saying that no one learns from videogames... and if we did "God help us all"
It might be my sadistic side, but I prefer for working exploits to be posted by the security sites... It gives you a way of checking to see if you are vulnerable.
In the case of M$ bugs, it also puts more pressure on the company to come up with a fix for the problem quickly.

I want to try BSD... but have some questions before doing so. My computer has both win xp and linux. I am going to buy another hard disk to put freebsd. Can I boot bsd with grub? also... Can anyone please tell me why some people prefer bsd from linux? doesn't linux have more support? does unreal tournament run under bsd(I don't thinks so)? I'm a bsd newbie but been using linux for about 2 years. What differences would I find? thanks

Sure it has plenty of newer things... but what about doing things faster? is it faster in any way? are old features faster? is it faster in anything?

they didn't mention it, but the real reason they are using linux is so that they wont be able to play any games... how sad.. hehe
I have always used gnome, but every new version of kde makes me think about migrating to kde. I have some questions..
1.- I feel that both gnome and kde are getting very bloated.. does kde packages allow me an easy selection of what I want to install?
2.- Does kde have something like the graphical greeter in gnome (2.x only I belive)??
