    I don't know how much the win32 system they emulate, but I know that at least on solaris they "emulate" the entire registry!

    You just create your internal network, and as a router you get a litle linux box with (eg) 3 NICs in. One NIC goes to the internal network, the other 2 each to an adsl modem. You then read the Linux Advanced Routing & Traffic Control HOWTO. Chapter 10 is what you want to do ...

    Germany is shutting down, Belgium is shutting down, even in France, the opions are turning: Greenpace made a hole in .Fr's entry for the America's Cup, simply because the main sponsor is a Nuclear firm... Don't get me wrong, I think nuclear power has it's merrits, and it is probably better than coal/gas/oil power plants, but fusion would be better!

    What powersource are you going to use 80 years from now? Oil? It will be more expensive than gold. Nuclear? In the US maybe, but here in .eu, nuclear plants are forced to shut down down between this and 25 years...

    IIRC, the US withdrew because it was too costly. That's the official version. The unofficial version is that the US thinks it can figure the Secret to Fusion out themselves. If the Iter would find it, it would have to be shared among ITER members. If the US finds the secret, they can keep it to themselves... Because basicly, it's quite simpel: if we allow one nation (or 2 nations) to keep the secret to Fusion, that country will rule the world... One Tokamak to Rule Them All and in Power binds them!

    More than 1 server handling the SSL session is actually bad!
    1. Image me (the client) connection to secure.yoursite.tld. Using your round-robin DNS, I end up at server1.
    2. We both setup a session (involving key interchanging etc) and then you give me your first page (eg a login form).
    3. I fill in the form and send it back. If then, I got connected to server2, we'd have to do recreate the SSL session keys etc, losing lots of time (both real and CPU).


      So whatever you use as first load-balancer, make SURE it knows about SSL sessions! But then you have a complex loadbalancer, which then becomes a single point of failure ...

    I was speaking about the /. posting, which is incorrect in two points:

    • Radikal is a .de, not a .nl article
    • same for .de

    Euhm, you are missing a point here: the dutch court ordered a dutch website to do certain things ... There is no international law involved!

    Dutch != German!

    The Radikal magazine is german, DB (Deutche Bahn) is german, but the articles where published on a Dutch site (Indymedia.nl). So please get your facts strait!
