  1. Limited Sample Size on New Diablo 3 Images; Design Wins Over Darkness · · Score: 1

I dislike people bemoaning the art style of the screen shots and gameplay footage that have been thus far released for Diablo3. We have only been shown with a small number of environments. They are presumably from the early game levels, since that's likely the most polished and there fore most worthy of presentation. It's very possible that there is a progression towards darker, more edgy environments later in the game.

The president is there from its predecessors. The tile sets in the original Diablo became progressively darker, the deeper under the cathedral you went. Even the varied environments in Diablo2 showed a movement, the further you got in the game, toward a darker, more suffocating atmosphere.

I think people will find most anything to complain about, and there's really not enough details available yet to come to any sort of reasonable, informed option. We'll all just have to wait for more bread crumbs.

Unfortunately for me, I am a gamer. Serious PC gaming is still pretty much stuck on the windows platform. They tried pushing us to Vista with DX10 and when they EoL XP, they will have succeeded. I, for one, will be taking a closer look at Wine on my Ubuntu partition. I just hope it really works as described. Does any one know of any other linux gaming solutions? I suppose I do still have an itch for nethack every once in a while.

I don't think the market will sort itself out naturally. We already have this situation with the cable and content providers. They make all the choice in what we can and can not watch on T.V. and you have no, or little, say. Not that I care about T.V. but I do see the parallel in the above scenario.

I think you all should just stop watching T.V. I haven't watched T.V. regularly in over 5 years now and it feels great. Just think a moment about how obsurd cable T.V. is . . . you're paying money to be advertised to. It should be the other way around. THEY should pay YOU to watch thier crap.

Think about how much head space you will be saving yourself. Hell, I still have commercials floating around in my head from the late 80's. I certinatly don't need any more of that filth polluting my thoughts.

In conclusion, T.V. sucks. Stop watching T.V.

There's a fundimental problem here. Wouldn't the second neuron goto a parallel universe and not THIS timeline? How is he going to see the second one visiting from the future if it works? Would be rather ironic if it does work but he never gets to see the second neutron becuse it doesn't exsist here in this time stream and the whole project is scrapped
