    If the book is half-decent, it will show users how to make buildworld; make buildkernel; make installkernel; make installworld - with whatever the latest codebase might be.

    Therefore, the argument that the 5.0 CD will be out of date is moot - at least for people who have internet connections. :)

    I'm Canadian :) The new fives are cool. (As for my "Brazilian-looking" comment, it came from people who accused the new Canadian bills as looking too South American)

    Anyway ... I don't recall the states having a two dollar bill, but they've had the one dollar bill for ages.

    And they call *US* loonie.

    Dangit, I could have really used something like that in 1996, when I had to use an animated gif that I created from website-based stills to make the intro credits for a tv show.

    I had the vision, but lacked the tools :(

    Well, in theory, all of my DB function calls are passed through a single function, anyway. (I like to write easy-to-modify code ;-)

    Would the SQL be identical? I don't do anything too stressful, not too many cross-table selects or anything.
