I'm kind of curious about doing XML in PHP. I took a look at some online docs a while back, but it never sank in. Maybe I just need a decent book to sit back and read:)
The UI and file storage concepts have not changed very much at all between Windows 95 and Windows XP. Line, Box, X. Start. C:\.
The graphics are weird and the log in screen is meaningful now, but that's about it.
Linux is quite a bit different than that - "where's the C: drive?", etc - so it would be slightly more of a change. I'd definately not want to have to teach these DOR employees how to use a "real" computer.
"Linux is only free if your time has no value", the old saying goes. In this case, though, I think it would more suitably be "Linux is only free if your co-workers aren't completely fucking retarded". Sounds about right, right?
Alright, fuck, Why can't I post asterixes?:)
Hmm... internet censorship... defeats the purpose!

This ... is ... just ... typical.
Nobody expects the spanish inquisition!
Hmm, you're right, that's slightly more on-topic. I was just being sarcastic :)

I didn't say if I was arguing _for_ linux ... :)
I was trying to imply that user training could, potentially, cost a LOT of money.
But in the long run, it would probably be a better choice.

Pfft. Hardly a reliable method :) If I search for my name, I find out that I'm a women's volleyball coach from California.
Damn, I wish I were me.

"dirty power" is used to describe an unstable power supply, a situation which results in "brown outs".
Would you want to experience a cow manure brown-out? I thought not.
