I stopped using IM years ago. I realized I did not want to be "instantly" available anymore. I always have my cell if someone needs me. The difference is, is that I know who is calling and the caller does not know whether I am there or not, so I have a choice.
When I started turning IM off, I kept getting emails from coworkers or friends say "TURN YOUR ICQ ON!" That only steeled my resolve. IM is too invasive.
So what's the comparison? I've hardly heard of any of the artists in either list and the few I have, well, I don't even need to hear the songs to know they suck.
