This is totally out of my ass, but wouldnt mind finding out if its possbile/feasable.
Could the person setup a bunch of standard PCs each stuffed with disks, run software iscsi servers on those pcs to share each disk. Have one main master server using software or hardware iSCSI add the disks to an Logical Volume. When more storage is needed, a new iSCSI serving pc could be added to the volume. Im not sure what file system would work, but then again, I am not sure the idea would work at all.
This is the first time the U.S National Hurricane Center has resorted to using the Greek alphabet since it began naming tropical cyclones in 1953. The previous record of 21 named storms had stood since 1933.
Am I reading this wrong, or is that a typo? If they did not start naming storms until 1953, how were there 21 NAMED storms in 1933? Did they go back and name the ones in the past?
I guess there's not a lot more to say about this, other than you're an evil fuck who thinks the plural of anecdote is data, and doesn't know that 'a lot' is two words.
Yes, I am an evil fuck, I don't care. I also don't care whether or not I mispell words or use bad grammar.
Unless you live in Iraq, then the Iraqis that you're talking to are not representative of Iraqis in Iraq.
Actually yes, they are. We have alot of Iraqi immigrants here in town, just coming over after the official war was declared over. They are glad Saddam is no longer there, and don't worry as much about the families they left behind.
They certainly aren't representative of the Iraqis that were killed in the war. Do you realize this?
Yeah, but a majority of dead people probably would have disliked what ever it was that killed them. And what about the Kurds who Saddam had gassed before the war?
I don't know if you know this already, but Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Just a heads up.
Yep, well aware of that fact, just don't care. Frankly though, I think we should, as a country, stay out of foreign affairs. No more soldiers in other countries, no more foreign aide. Then again, I also don't believe in welfare, or helping anyone really.
Not really, if you check over my posting history, the deaths of others doesn't really affect me. But, alot of Iraqis are glad we are there. This isn't just what I have been told by the media, this is from conversation with the Iraqis that live in my building.
Did anyone ever look into how many of the victims are seniors? Seniors are preyed upon by corrupt people everywhere. Alot of seniors barely have enough money in their retirement years to live. Alot of them require expensive medications to survive. The slightest chance of not having to worry about money, or being able to leave something for their children or grand children is enough for them to sink their last dollars into something that is most likely a scam. At some point in your life, the hope that it is reall is all you have left.
Funny, where I grew up we had shitty streets, grimy buildings and houses, there were refridgerators against garages in the alleys, and many people hung their clothes to dry. I grew up in America. The neighbor hood I lived in was poor and overrun by gangs. Did I mention this was in Iowa? I can only imagine some of the slums in bigger cities like L.A., Chicago, or New York. Not every place in America is all peachy.
If so many of the soldiers (who I am assuming you are referring to being dead) supported Kerry, and were against the war, why are so many re-enlisting and choosing to go back to Iraq?
How would this affect OSS projects? Would the development community be liable for damages caused by bugs in software? I have seen alot of free software that comes with a disclaimer waving all responsibility of the author, would that still hold up?
I noticed that problem with my a few of my pages as ad networks became bogged down. I found it better to put an IFRAME in place that loads another page with the ad. Most ad networks allow it, and it lets the page load up while the ad is delayed.
Do you get some feeling of superiority when you correct typing mistakes? The poster got their message to us, and we understood it. That is all that really matters.
Thats the biggest thing I hate about IE. All these wonderful wonderful features of CSS I want to use, but because I make web pages for the masses, I have to work around IE's lack of compatibility. I am in no way referring to moz/ff specific extensions, just the css standard.

Ford could design a new type of tire, patent it, and only allow Firestone to manufacture them, you know, for quality assurance purposes. That would require you to use Firestone tires.

When Microsoft first introduced Internet Explorer, they REQUIRED OEMs to license IE, or they would not be able to license Windows. This was frowned upon, and Microsoft was told to stop. Rather than stop, Microsoft integrated IE into the operating system, so it would still force people to distribute it. That is why people started hating Microsoft for including software, as for how it turned into the bashing that it is, I am not sure. I for one don't care what Microsoft ships with their operating system. They could make windows run ONLY their software, I don't care. I always have the choice of NOT using their products. Another posted mentioned Ford not offering Porshe engines as an option, and I think that is a good comparison. I can't think of another area of industry where one manufacturer is FORCED to be compatible with its competition.
Browsers are now "smart," and (can be configured to) append.com on all domains names that aren't found. If a person goes to http://notfound.co.uk/ and it is not a registered domain, the browser will then try http://notfound.co.uk.com/ which will resolve through the wildcard.
I have a gallery of animal photographs that I take while hiking. I leave the pictures open to the public so that others can look at them and learn patterns on reptiles and such. I leave hotlinking open because often I post on a forum, and show a picture.
Nobody but myself has a right to use those images on a page, especially if they are loading the images from my server. I don't really mind if people use the images, but copy them to your own damn server first.
Sorry, you forgot an exclamation point.

Good thing I've got my copy right here on the internet. I should mail it to them, then they could restore their systems from it.

Why not just use free alternatives?

The earth is a global entity, and thus should be managed globally then also. Having countries only causes excess wars anyways right?

No, the difference accross the International Date Line is always 1 day (24hours) apart.

AutoZone has the sensors to check your diagnostic codes, and does it for free. Is $200 worth not having to drive to AutoZone?
Isn't it Simple Mail Transfer Protocol?

Thats a rediculous comment.
