I'm not defending Apple's decision (or lack of action) in implementing this feature in the core system, however I would like to point out to you that Mac OS X has a native VLC client, download that, if you go and play a song or movie, then go to the "Playback" menu and see the "Faster" menu item. Hit it twice for 2x playback speed. This makes voices talk quickly without altering the pitch, therefore there's no chipmunking. This is surely as simple as the "installing 2xAV' as you mentioned above for your PC.
I'm not privy to the list of supported BitTorrent clients for Ipodnova/videoseed, however you did mention Utorrent, and this also has a native Mac client available. I would assume that the Utorrent guys use the same implementation of the BitTorrent core protocol, so you should be able to use it just fine on those sites.
I'm using PPPoE, however my ISP connection is with PPPoA - the trick was to set it up with PPPoA with NAT first, make sure it connects ok, then switch it into bridged mode. I then set up my WRT54GL to use PPPoE, put my ISP account details into the WRT54GL, hot connect, and I was connected first time, with the ISP assigned public IP straight on my router.
I've noticed this trend happening quite a lot lately, and for a pedantic limey such as myself it always manages to invoke feelings of psychotic rage. Well, almost:-)
No, they aren't doing Airport/BT upgrades. I asked in the store about this and they recommended I order the thing online. The guy also said that they only sell memory upgrades as an addition to the 256MB already installed, in other words, you'd be stuck with a useless 256MB stick if you got the memory upgrade from the store on Regents Street, hence why buying online was the better option as they don't do that.
All you need to do is disable the Redhat Graphical Boot by editing your/etc/grub.conf (by first booting into single user mode) and make sure the line that says this:
"Impossible for a third party to eavesdrop" is one thing, however what if the data that has been transmitted in such a way is required to be stored for a period of time greater than the time taken for the person to make use of it in one sitting; you will still need to encrypt the data on the local filesystem surely?
If only for the simple reason that I cannot instantly glance down to the bottom of the screen and spot which process I wish to access next and I am forced to having to click the mouse button an extra time, certainly makes me less productive.
May I suggest you look into the KX driver project, available at http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/index.php?language=e n
I have been using this driver as a replacement for the sucky Creative drivers for years now. The difference in performance and features is simply astounding. Works particularly well for low latency applications such as Cubase or Reason, although I see no reason why gaming would not benefit also.
They have: http://www.refx.net/pro_QuadraSID.htm?lang=eng
Of course you'll need to be running a VST compatible host application such as Cubase or Logic, etc.
The vaunted European "culture" leads to slavery and genocide, time after time
Large American corporations are the modern day slave drivers - look at the sweatshops used by companies like Nike in the far east - tell me the workers there aren't in slave-like conditions!
As for genocide, your pervasive "culture" is turning us all into selfish, self obsessed obese morons who are killing ourselves with your high cholestral "fast" food crap:)

I'm interested in how you achieved this too, please can you share the details with us?

Would that work for you?
I'm using a Linksys ADSL2MUE which seems to fit the description of what you want.
Here's a review
Here's where I bought mine.
Hope that helps.

Please learn the difference between the words than and then. I understand your accent may make them sound the same, but they are not interchangeable.
"...more modified bios then usual."
Then usually what? I tend to read things literally, so it becomes a PITA having to decode what was actually meant.
I know, not the biggest problem in the world, but when I read hundreds of thens instead of thans a day on here, I do get kind of narked!
Thanks!
My PowerBook has a dedicated eject button on the top row of the keyboard, to the right of the function keys.
My Apple bluetooth keyboard also has a dedicated eject button. It functions exactly as though it were on the drive itself. I see no difference here.
Sorry to troll here, but you and the parent poster seemingly think that the words "then" and "than" are interchangeable.
:-)
I suggest you brush up your vocabulary by visiting http://www.dictionary.com/

And you, sir, cannot spell sentence!

Remind me to check for the word rediculous in the dictionary. It's spelt with an 'i' i.e. ridiculous. Sorry to troll.
No, that would be fusion ;-)

I agree, it's annoying as hell.

OK, time to be a troll, apologies in advance, however it's ridiculous, not rediculous.
Do you guys actually pronounce it rediculous in your part of the world?

"And the reason that Ethernet won was that Ethernet was an open standard with many competing companies providing it."
Now if only more compnaies would take heed...
