I'd never heard of these guys before reading that interview, but i found their website, Tongsville. You can check out some of their music video and shorts here to get an idea of their style. I'm encouraged.
Actually, on NPR this morning a famous oceanographer, Wallace Broeckner, suggested we should use machines to capture and concentrate CO2 into carbon-rich rocks or pump it underground. It'll be expensive, he says, but it's easier than 'social engineering'.
I didn't know that 'government' was plural...oh wait, it isn't! Oh god, the grammatical horror!!! Maybe you Canadians should worry about the atrocities that your own citizens are commiting!!
A Star Destroyer made for 4" action figures? How bout one made for 4' actual people. I won't be interested in buying one until I can sit my own hyperbolic chamber and mentally kill people.
On an episode of the West Wing, they proposed doing a poll of representative sample of the US population to determine who the people wanted to elect. They TV told then told me that it would be more accurate and I think that it'd probably be easier to carry out than our current system. However, it seems like I forsee some unforseen problems arising.
Yeah, I think this really might bite the big one. There is so much stuff that they are going to have to use computer generated images for and I'm not a believer that it will look good. Lord of the Rings looks good, but things in LOTR that have the heaviest computer manipulation are things that are magic or take place in the ring's netherworld (e.g., the wraiths). My satisfaction with CGI trying to emulate the real world has been less than complete.
In last June's issue of New Scientist they talk about a new refining technique being developed that could drop the price by 75%. Looks like we'll all be pimpin' in titanium rides before you know it. Check it out.

John Asscrotch eat your heart out.
For all of you lamenting the Star Wars prequels, be sure to see where Lucas' roots in filmmaking are.
Yeah, then it becomes so much more clear why they suck as hard as they do.
If the rats do get killed by the mines it'll give the troops a nice break from their MREs.

My Other Robot is C-3PO.
Of couse they do. It's all right there in their documentary: Atlantis: The Lost Empire.
So how little would the surprise cost of Gmail have to be in order to keep you using it? Or any of you, for that matter?

They definitely care, but I don't think they'll be motivated to act until they find their actions limited by these new laws.
