Avast will pop-up a box that asks if you want to block the current incoming packets (it calls it a connection), so the virus does not even get written to the disk. So it acts more like a firewall in that regard.
Wireless has been around longer than Sony and Microsoft were even in the game market. Check out: http://www.nesplayer.com/database/accessories/accl aimwireless.htm
It was not the best tech for wireless, but it worked (until someone passed in front of it).
So, all this hype about wireless is just about the systems adding it as a standard feature and not an add-on. This is just one example of how video games have not improved that much in over 20 years. I am just hoping that Wii helps change the current direction that these systems are going. I want new features and a new gaming experience, not just the same old crap.
One thing that I keep hearing is that there are a lot of games just scaling the graphics up to HD from progressive scan and not making them truly HD. So, it is not like all the games you get for the 360 are really HD, and many people are comparing the graphics to the X-Box and not seeing this big jump that they were told they would get. I would wait to see if the pattern of porting games changes after PS3 and there are 2 HD systems. I think Nintendo was correct for sitting 1 more generation out for HD, the hardware that they are going with is going to put them right up with the 360 in fps.
I like how you do not even listen to what people say. The point is that Nintendo is making games that cover more markets than anyone else, and that is what will kill the others. It is not saying that 1 game will kill the rest, it is saying that the market needs a shift and Nintendo is the first to do that. You really need to learn how to read before you type. (I know that this is Slashdot and all)
No, I was pointing out that this is the first step towards that kind of functionality and that this device is designed to use bluetooth and as such if the current smart fridges would stop putting the display on the door and use bluetooth it would make that kind of technology more usable. You my friend read too deep in to what I was saying, I was pointing out uses for future applications if others would develop compatible devices. Most people are limiting the device to its current uses and can't think of other uses down the road.
This thing will do more than the current high-priced remotes for TVs, DVDs, etc... Also, it is priced well compared to PDAs and other devices of this level. Remember this thing is not designed to be a laptop, it is a hybrid of PDA and laptop and as such it is doing what PDAs can't do (because they are too small) and laptops can't do (because they are too big). I see this thing controlling simple tasks around the home, one thing that would be cool is a bluetooth fridge that would send a shopping list to the device instead of the current smart fridges that show it on a screen on the door.

I guess a written constitution does have some utility.
Sure. You can go and check any time it is violated...
I don't know about you, but I don't think I could keep up with all the violations that have been going on for a while.

No, that would be Cher.
