It's like a a DOS attack... on it's own it isn't monetized. To make click fraud work he'd have had to go to a lot of effort... OTOH he could easily release it to the world and many others WOULD go through the effort and even if unsuccessful it would cause havoc and potentially lawsuits from legitimate service users... so extortion to NOT release it was the easiest route to take, AND he wanted to make it easy for them to buy him off.
It should have worked. Any normal company would have paid him off and made him sign an agreement to not release with significant penalties if he did.... which would no longer require an investigation to enforce.
An ancient L33t-V1k1ng from the same time period responded "All your GEARS are belong to us!" and proceeded to loot and pillage said Greek geeks homestead...
The argument holds perfectly true... that same demographics page shows that 75% of the US population is 'White' (which also includes non-euro originating caucasians but in general is a euro originating group) and political leadership is going to reflect that when you look at all the numbers.
The various churches do not hold any particularly powerful sway in goverment, else you'd see an entirely different government... so it's not a theocracy but the fact that the majority of the leadership of a country has similar beliefs as the populace shows no correlation with theocracy either.... you are just rambling and trying to show some connection because you feel disenfrachised by the fact that your personal beliefs are not represented to your satisfaction. Understandable but you'll just have to get used to it... as long as your personal beliefs are a minority view in the general populace.
stop whining.
Religion has nothing to do with whether a person's decisions are grounded in reality or not. Saddam Hussein was a public Aetheist and no one could say that his decisions were grounded in reality, at least not our version of it.
The writers at South Park are as good as any political critics out there... better in many ways as they do not declare conclusions so much as point to the evidence and laughingly roast it by making obvious conclusions that the rest of us should already have come to on our own, which is why we all laugh back... we know it's true enough to be really funny.
It's not religion stupid, it's representation. Look here at the demographics and you will see that the United States is composed of only 8.4% non-religious people, while the other non-christian religions compose only 3% of the population, so 88.6% Christian (26.8% begin Catholic, 19.8% Baptist).
So tell me again why being Christian shouldn't be a pre-requisite to being the top political and commander in chief of this nation? 88% is a pretty convincing argument IMHO.
So, either some people are simply ignorant or naive enough to understand this, or perhaps they are beginning to get worried that someday the countries that supply food and raw materials to them today at bargain prices won't be there anymore.
26 Billion seems a lot for radio in today's tech landscape.... sounds like they may have a different use for all that licensed bandwidth.
If I had it all available I'd turn it into a massive wireless 'data' network, stream the radio channels with better-targeted ads worldwide and charge monthly fees to users in addition to the normal ad revenue.
except that it was never difficult to copy/clone their models to begin with... all digital remember... so why would anyone go to the effort of making anything new (excepting personal joy in doing so) if everyone can have one just like it instantly.
Also what's the point of in-game money if not to buy in-game stuff from in-game shops??
True true... i have a tooth I've been waiting to get painful.. it's cracked you see... and there's plenty of exposure... and it just doesn't hurt. If it wasn't exposed it would hurt, I know cause there was a short time while that was true and it did.
I know if I go to a dentist they will fill it in and then every time I chew something it is going to really hurt, the problem being that it's not far gone enough to simply replace and my dental coverage won't allow the extraction until then.
In any case it's not a problem so I'll wait until it is and then get a shiny new tooth. I am missing out on some Vicodin though which is a bummer but better to not need it than to depend on it to get through the day.
Is mostly comedy in a recently past setting mixed with a lot (I mean as in a whole several acres lot) of bad puns... and songs with bad puns and puns within puns. Its good sci-fi don't get me wrong but you should know what you're getting into before you start reading Robinson;-p
Anyways, start with any of the Callahan series and work your way forward or back (there's a lot of time travel so it doesn't really matter which way you go, you'll feel as if you'd been there before regardless).
Most importantly, enjoy the reading... that's why he writes apparently, to entertain which is admirable in this day... oh yeah and all the novels I've read by Robbie are set in the late nineties so expect some feelings of de ja vu... and yet it's still science fiction eh?
Rather than looking for what you do have... searches are really good for finding out what you don't have. Looking at your symptoms you can easily strike out many many illnesses and narrow the list down to just a few potential causes. These few are the ones you go to your doctor with and say, hey here are my symptoms, here are the possible causes I've found... can we test for these?
Your MMV but a good doctor would say "sure but see this one and this one... these are very unlikely based on my experience and expensive to test for and NOT life threatening, but this one here is unlikely, expensive and life threatening so we SHOULD test for it... and the rest we'll test for just to get them off the list. Now let's do a full exam to be sure that your list of symptoms is accurate from a medical standpoint and that you haven't missed any that we might be able to find from blood tests and whatnot."
A bad doctor will say "hmm thanks but I think I can find out the problem and I'm the one with a medical degree, so just let me take care of this" while not looking at your list or even acknowledging it.
The same test can be done with any professional actually... your mechanic, your plumber, etc. In fact if you have some info about the problem and demonstrate your knowledge you should get much better service from a good pro. A bad pro will take offense and be more likely to put you off and give you bad service... which you wouldn't have a clue about until after the job if you don't first 'interview' them with your list of problems/solutions.
Going to a pro completely uninformed is most likely to get you shuffled through the system as they know you don't have a clue and unless there is going to be serious repercussions to them providing poor service... they can easily do a sloppy job for the same payment and pass the buck to the next professional you call to actually fix the problem.
Depends on his debt level. Lots of debt !== happiness and the sooner you can get it down to under 5k the happier a person you will be. A huge salary increase up front is worth it in the short term to get your finances under control... as long as the new pay doesn't also bring new expenses.
I say take the pay, get out of debt, enjoy the satisfaction of financial freedom then when you're tired of that satisfaction go find a new more enjoyable job (unless the paycheck job turns out to also be fun).
You're missing out on the backend expertise here. The FWA itself is a database driven content managed site. Resize your browser and see how it adds rows and columns to fill up the available space (ie: it's a flash 'liquid layout' ) and the content is all being loaded on the fly asynchronously... JIT for you to view it. See at the top right of the grid how it paginates the listings dynamically according to how many columns and rows you have showing? Watch it while you resize again so more rows are showing... now start thinking of how that can be useful for other subjects. Dynamic data with realtime responses and monitoring of user input. Would it help if they used a large clunky interface to demonstrate this? Maybe a datagrid with words instead of funky pictures?
Also, Don't you know not to browse the web with your sound turned up? That's like keeping your TV volume up while watching the weather channel and then being surprised by a commercial when you change it to a normal station.
This is where a simple website which details a peaceful demonstration comes in to play.... let people know what's going on, set a date and on that date everyone simply turns their phone off or leaves it at home. This will demonstrate that we the users of the phone have the power to allow this type of thing to happen and the right to deny it.

More likely it will be a celebrity hunt... you know how people love their celebs...

Uh I wasn't bitching... just commenting that the election and electoral college vote was a test of sorts.

There is a test... it's called the Presidential election. You pass with more than 51% and you're in.
It's not religion stupid, it's representation. Look here at the demographics and you will see that the United States is composed of only 8.4% non-religious people, while the other non-christian religions compose only 3% of the population, so 88.6% Christian (26.8% begin Catholic, 19.8% Baptist).

Most definitely the latter.
Yes it's the many eggs many baskets and feces method... learn it and learn it well young hairless ape-man.

I for one welcome our new Computer based overlords who are now by law immune to being disabled or hindered in any way....
The stage is being set... our laws will be used against us by the machines!
too true, just like money, real estate and voting... just made up systems to keep us down.
"I just hope that they don't embed Flash player into the browser. That would suck royally."
Don't disparage something you don't understand. It's like saying you hate all music cause you heard a few Britney Spears songs.
Take a look at OpenLaszlo.
Yes, make way for Ted Kennedy....
Uhhhh who's your daddy?
