  1. Rewards on A Music Industry Case Study · · Score: 2, Interesting

So you want us to reward artists for making bad decisions. That money is how much an artist makes for an album that goes GOLD, piracy or no piracy.

But then, I'm not cashing a fat IT paycheck, either.

  2. Ethics on The Future of the CD · · Score: 1

Behavior that is unethical is behavior that is undertaken without regard for justification. As long as you are taking justification into account, you are behaving ethically, though those ethics may be bad. When you perceive that someone else is acting in bad ethics, you have justification to undertake war-type actions against them.

  4. Jail on The Taste of Pain · · Score: 1

We put them in jail because they bother us. It is as simple as that. Society defends itself. What's wrong with that. I don't see how people may not be entirely responsible for their actions means that significant parts of our goverment, society, and justice system are flawed. It isn't their job to determine responsibility is it?

  8. Intolerance on Giant Mecha News · · Score: 1

Which is why I'm intolerant to a degree. I'm concerned about others welfare and don't like how their "religion" is messing them up. Whether there is a God or not, the prominent religions don't reflect the reality of the true state of God. By treating God as something they have figured out, they fail to actually address God. At the same time, they are in denial of the fact that they are treating God as something they have figured out. The combination of both of these features keeps religions from making spiritual progress.

  12. Below Costs... on FCC Abandons Linesharing, Kills DSL Competition · · Score: 1

What keeps getting me is that they don't bother to make it clear that they are being forced to sell below cost. It keeps coming out sounding as if they are merely being forced to sell below maximum profit.

  13. Funny on Intel Holds Digital Rights Summit · · Score: 2, Funny

Rep. Howard Berman, D-Calif., said Silicon Valley's complaints were little more than trivial self-pity.

I can't make full sense of the other response to the parent post, but the 14th amendment is what makes the other amendments relevant to the states. The other response seems to be under the notion that the 14th amendment wouldn't have been necessary for the other amendments to apply to the states.
