People don't know what they want to believe. How can anyone want to believe anything but the truth. Since they aren't believing what they want to, the truth, what's to say that what I believe isn't closer to the truth than what they believe. The best way to resolve this is if each of us tries to convice the others that what they believe is right.
My concern for getting anything done has nothing to do with death. If I knew for certain that I would die, I probably wouldn't do anything. The reason why I don't put things off is because I want things today.

If you put two highly directional transmitters at one side of an X and two recievers at the other two sides, the two signals won't interfere at those receivers locations but if a receiver was placed at the center of the X the two signals will. If you can wall off the direction of one of the signals from recieving then the other signal will be clear at the center.
