To busy with school to do a book right now, but you have some great ideas. Physics in star trek though is going too far:p Warp is based on completley fictional subspace theories, dont know if you could tie subspace into the 11d theories or some aspect of GUFT. As for mars, i have no idea. I dont ever remember reading anything specific about mars in any star trek book i've read. I dont know how colonized it is or if its terraformed (they do do that in ST), there are however, orbiting ship yards/dry dock, utopia planitia (which is actually a surface feature), that have been mentioned many times.
Well, 500 cds ripped to 256 mp3 would get you between 60 and 80 gigs. I have a little over 300 cds, plus my some of my parents's and sister's cds that i listen too (is that legal, or does the RIAA say i have to buy my own copy?). Plus most players can double as portable hard drives.
Stranger in a Strange Land can not be done as even an R movie. Especially if you've read the later released uncut version with the sex stuff and religion stuff that they originally cut due to the times.
Trance is pretty hot, for having a tail and being purple. In farscape IMHO Chiana and Sikozu Svala Shanti Sugaysi Shanu were hotter than Aeryn despite being grey and red...
They already wrote a book (were there two?) about the Eugenics wars. Horrible continuity, no world war three, it made no sense with what everything else said about a nuclear war happening in the late 20th century. Kahn took shadow control of a few countries, but was found out and kicked off the planet, no shooting war... kinda dissapointing, but it worked with our realworld history.
The best thing they could do is exactly what you suggested, do a series on earth, at starfleet headquarters. Better yet, do that, with Section 31. They really havn't explored earth much, there were a few episodes of DS9 where they visited, with the changling scare and everything, and there were a few eps of voyager, the one where harry got switched with his friend, and the ones with Murdoch, i mean Barclay, and Troi, but those were terrible (along with the post kes seasons of voyager...). A series taking place on earth after the cadassian/dominion war and after voyagers return would be cool. I think they could even get away with some cameos from the voyager crew. There are enough known planets that they've never been to that they could have original story lines without resorting to borg/holodeck/time-travel. Vulcan, Andor(andorian homeworld?) Bol(bolians...), uh, other planets with blue people... Mars!!! They need to fire berman.
The heavy metal your thinking of in your fish example is probably mercury. At least thats what comes to mind when thinking of heavy metal accumulating in an aquatic foodchain.
How is lead bad for the environment? I know its bad for us, and IIRC ducks, but how does it harm the environment? All the plants i buy for my fishtank come with lead clips around them, the guy at the fish store said lead is one of the few metals you can use in a fishtank. How could lead use in mobos(i assume the solder, so they're using straight tin or what?) be bad for the environment. Or is this just something from marketing, since people see stuff on the news about kids getting retarted from eating lead paint chips and think lead == bad.
Dragan Flyer... Its not wi-fi controlled, but you could probably replace the camera with the guts of a wi-fi camera or something.

Back during the surge in popularity yo-yos enjoyed about 5-6 years ago i bought a firebrain or whatever and it was pretty sweet, and i got pretty good with it, but it was still pretty lame, automatic vs manual and all that... Then i bought a THP tourney model off somebody for like $20, best damn yo-yo i ever had, till i lost one of the bearings...:(
Microwaves cause electrons to build up on edges and corners of metal, the points of fork tines, the crinkles on aluminium foil, but theres no real danger to the microwave as long as its not touching the sides of the enclosure. Discharges like that can damage the magnatron.
They dont put eject on remotes since if your ejecting something they asume your going to go to the unit and take it out. On that note, if you hold down stop on my universal remote it ejects the dvd, but theres no button to put the disc back in the case and the case back on the shelf...
Opera Has a search bar built in that you just drag down to select where your searching. It defaults to google, but theres AllTheWeb, super search, Amazon, news Search, TechTracker Search, and half a dozen others, wish there was IMDB search too, but anywho... This seems to be the functionality of both the Google and Amazon toolbars without tracking

They already turned the various mideast conflicts over the years into sci-fi, its called Dune.

Yeah, but when we try to take away old peoples licenses the AARP stages a coup and takes over the town... Damn Country Kitchen Buffets...

I like farscape, but DRDs were a ripoff of MSE-6 Droids, but those were probably a ripoff of something else.
no, the shoes were probably made by kids in elbonia or somewhere
