Mili-amp, thousandth of an amp, and they're ulrtra brights, but i'm only running them at 15mA so theyre not blinding, and there are two. (4*.2)/(.015*2) = erm, 26. Guess you did figure that decimal place but didn't type it...
Its got a micro-switch in the back under the battery cover, the lights dont come on with the calculator and its not practical in anyway, just more of a "hey, check this out" "wow" kinda thing. And actually, i dont know how long 2 LEDs would run on 4 AAAs, but i've had the original batteries in it since i got it a year and a half ago.

Sounds like me, i never really saw the advantage to a laptop, had a nice powerfull desktop, laptops were more expensive, less powerfull and to bulky. That was until my boss picked up some laptops at a university sale, i dell Latitude LT from him for $150. I dont know what you mean by slow CPU, but its got a P266, 64mb of ram, a 4gb hard drive. and its less than 3 pounds and less than an inch thick. More than enough to run windows 98 and a linksys 802.11g wireless card. Only problems are 1 USB port and no onboard NIC, and i've never been able to get the wired card i picked up for it to work. You can find complete packages (it has an extra battery pack, external pcmcia cd-rom and en external floppy/port replicator) for less than $200 on e-bay if your lucky.
Thats exactly what i thought at first. When i switched cell companies i wanted a nokia phone because i like their UI, and i wanted a color screen too. Unfortunatly i couldn't find any with out wacky buttons. Ended up getting a nice LG flip phone. But yeah, i prefer my cal buttons as roughly rectangles and arranged at roughly 90 degree angles. Could be worse though, at least the thing doesn't look like a football or a taco.
I have pimped my calculator. I have a TI-83+ Silver Edition, with the clear/pearl case, i cracked it open and put 2 blue LEDs and a switch inside. Lights up real good, enough to read by in the dark. Doesn't backlight the screen however.
I named my computers. At least on the network. The desktop i'm on now is HAL 5320, the desktop in the basement is Hobbes, and my laptop on the network appears as Dude Man (its a dell, duuuude...). My SSID makes a bit more sense, blickNet, that being my last name... and the word net.
Thats interesting, i've been shocked many times, but only real bad once or twice but i've never thought hard about the sensation. You may be correct, i'd think that blood (a liquid high in electrolytes and othe highly conductive things) would probably be the best conducting tissue in your body.
I dont know what you mean by building your own computer, certanly not from scratch (plastic, silicon, copper etc), but assembling the parts and plugging it all up properly is not hard to do.
I only had experience with the newer strech armstrong (and fetch armstrong) and i never remember him hardening with an impact. He just seemed to be some sort of silicone vinyl type material, and the stuff he was filled with, which leaked if you streched him too much, was just corn syrup IIRC...
Yeah, all the wacky variations, its very strange my preference for the analogs between the brands. I prefer straight coke over straight pepsi, but prefer diet pepsi over diet coke, pepsi one over either, i prefer regular vanilla coke, but diet vanilla pepsi, i like regular pepsi twist over lemon coke, but prefer diet lemon coke over diet twist, and i'm waiting for pepsi to come out with their lime cola... What will they stick in cola next. On a similar note i'd like to inform everyone who doesn't know, Mt Dew Livewire has returned.
Just a non-newtonian fluid. Go mix cornstarch and water, borax and something (forget what, its been a while since 6th grade science, dishsoap maybe) or get some of this. You get the same basic thing, but the point of this is that it probably doesn't shatter under the impact of a bullet... I've been kicking around the idea of something like this for a while myself actually, but more along the lines of that ferrous oil stuff they use in super high end variable shock absorbers that has a current applied to it and hardens when it senses a projectile. Not sure how to go about sensing that though, so a passive option i probably better.
duh, an uncomfortable pokey lego themed (ever tried on one of those lego watches?) wrist band, yeah, the kids'll wanna wear that...
A lesbian seagul?
Yeah, i used your figures, no idea what batteries hold, its probably more than your estimate, which i used, but you were close on the LEDs.
And a seagul is worse than... an annoying pushy paperclip?

Just increase the voltage, it should warm em up. :p

Heh, i find your comment funny having watched resivoir dogs last nite...
Well then they could just wind it back again. Kinda the whole point of the car. :p

Thats actually pretty accurate, huge fuckin caps and other HV stuff in CRTs. Not something i'd want to open...

I want to get a Jacuzzi brand toilet, just so i can tell people that i have a jacuzzi...

I've heard soda, of any kind, generically reffered to as coke down south... But now that i think about it i usually order "a coke" at restraunts.
Every sibling has missed Rollerblade brand In-line Skates. :p
They only call it coke genericaly in the south iirc, most other places its soda, and upnortderhey its pop...
