You change directions more than a pingpong ball....
Instead of going for your feelings, perhaps you should actually bother to read quotes and articles from those in the know. The jury foreman has actually been quoted, that the damages was to punish Samsung.
Why is it that the design patent only counts in Apple favor? Those "in part" demonstrations are pretty much the same as what Apple is pointing at in the Samsung design?
Take the Epic 4g, which clocked in at around 350m in the case, round corners: check, rectangle: check, one button: nope. How can that be infringing when it's not the full copy, but only in part?
No, they make money of selling your information. If that field is set to no, then they can't make money selling your information, they figure you need to earn them the same as the rest of their customers.
There is a heck of a difference between threatening (and subsequently booting) an embassy and storming it.
In the first case you usually give them X hours/days to pack their gear up and vacate the property, while stile retaining diplomatic immunity - this is the normally the first steps of having a War.
When storming an embassy you are basically declaring war and starting it in one go.
They use it because it has many edges, colors and textures, which makes it interesting from a pure CS point of view - that's also why they only use the face...
Their terms and conditions states they will give you a 30 day warning before they implement changes to their terms and conditions. They do however in reality, not give you any form of warning.
And the fact that weather is setting records across the globe year after year right now, is not a concern because equipment used in 1936 had almost the same reading?
You know what, global environment change might be man made or natural cycle, but if it turns out to be man made, I hope you will do the honorable thing and let someone who tried to save the planet have your spot.
So, out of curiosity I decided to disagree to the last update to Steam EULA - you will lose *all* access, not just future updates, but everything you have or had with steam will be blocked unless you agree to their terms. Note, their terms and conditions specifically calls for a 30 days heads up for you to save your stuff, this is nice and all, except you don't get 30 days warning and you sure as hell don't get to access your offline items.
And they want us to trust them with our files?
Oh, and their support response to inquiries with regards to the illegal blockage of my applications. "We believe this update to terms and conditions are in your best interest".
Why not? Gain access to my email and you got at least 5 years worth of data to plow through, you should be able to figure out what sites I'm using and get password resets on most of them - and it's indexed by Google to make life easier for hackers.
On top of that, even the sites that require more information, you would probably be able to get through my mail account.
Wont be the same judge in an appeal, so no, definitely not her game plan.
I think she just went with her ego and the Samsung lawyer is way out of her league (the judges that is). The Samsung lawyer knows what he is doing; not only is he making sure there will be an appeal should he lose, he has made Samsung look like the true hero and Apple like a villan. As the Groklaw article says, I want this guy as my lawyer!
Yeah, because there are hundreds of factories sitting idle around, ready to pump up production to meet Apples demands.
If you belive that I have a bridge I'd like to sell you...

You should get my mod points on that one. +5 from here.
Regarding point 3, no it was not the jury job to decide. In fact quite the opposite, the instructions specifically told them not to.

Pioneered in what universe?
Palm pilots had on screen keyboards way before that.
If it turned out to be only ground effect I'd still want one, looks fun!
While I'd love for them to stand trial; I'd never ever give up an innocent person whom will be subject to torture in exchange for a criminal.
Not only that, he is talking about extinction level events - if that happens, your data is the last of your worries.
What EU laws on extradition?

Well... if something is occuring at a low frequency rate and it suddenly starts occuring at a much larger rate, wouldn't it become high frequency?
Erm... What?
CS as in computer science, last I checked the computers ability to process information was not depending on the operators ability to see color.
No...

But those aren't *software* patents.
What don't you understand?

Two words: ignorant twat!
What kind of stupid answer is that?
You answer a question with an assertion that I don't know anything, yet you don't answer anything.
The point of my statement is that both those cases are blatantly stupid lawsuits, both allowed in a fucked up legal environment.
Also you are an idiot. There I said it and I feel better.
Do enlighten us on how they do that, because that sure as hell aint exactly obvious to the rest of the world...
And you sir win the prize for most redundant comment ever.
I wasn't refering to the neutrino going through the earth, but to this conversation about using gravity field to communicate.
Why not?

Not sure how those suggestions could ever be faster than just using fiber optics going around the surface...
