The barrier isn't that high as long as the EU keeps doing what it's been doing. MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operators) is the new thing, this has already taken off in Denmark for instance, it's fairly cheap to start up and due to regulations you aren't being bled dry by the actual owner of the network. It is however fairly new and quite a few kinks has to be ironed out.
1. Linux comes with whatever the distribution choose, quite a few comes with Nano which has a nice menu in the bottom.
2. When VI(m) is started it helpfully tells you how to get started, bet you never actually took the time to read through that?
3. Most GUI enabled linux distributions will have editors like Kate as default for editing, if they are too hard to figure out you should hand in your computer.
1. Doing server work from our phones are not optimal, but it is however useful - you are saying that servers only go down when you are at work, good for you, however in the real world the tend to do backflips when the only handful of people with access are on vacation on the other side of the world - this is where having a phone with SSH access is nice.
2. UltraEdit has a steep learning curve just like VI has - yeah you *might* be able to do notepad stuff right of the bat, but so fucking what? You can do that in Notepad, show me anyone who can do what I can do in VI who has spend less time figuring it out.
3. Your statement about learning curves makes no sense, spending time learning something doesn't require you to give up your life, in fact, spending a bit time learning how to do things a faster way will often save you time over the course of your life.
The reason why they are scared aren't because it's ability to kill right now, the reason why they are scared and why you should be too is because: 1. it spreads like wildfire - off season, imagine what kind of havoc this will do when the flu season starts. 2. unlike most other, this will primarily hit young people, our immune system isn't geared for this, while this in the beginning wont cause many deaths, the consequences of having 20-30% of your working population off for a week or two due to sickness is really really bad for the economy and this will of course leads to all sorts of fun ways to drop dead without being sick. 3. While we in the western world right now are quite capable of handling the cases with complications, this will soon spiral out of control, right now we are seeing very low numbers of infections, compared to the expected numbers when the season gets going, this will lead to a lot more getting complications with their infections - and guess what, even here in the oh-so-civilized western, we can't handle that many complications - which will results in death counts matching that of Mexico.
Really? Here in Denmark it took several lawsuits and the consumer agency to step in and beat Apple to a pulp before they admitted a design flaw in their iBooks was causing motherboards to break. Wouldn't call that owning up to a problem. Bet there was lawsuits under way before they accepted anything with those batteries.
Which would be answered if you read about the phone...
Unlike the google phones this will be based on a normal Linux distribution with all drivers open sourced - and first generation will be on GTK, but should be changed to QT soonish since Nokia happens to own that piece of.... code.
How do you inject an include? To do that wouldn't that mean the programmer not only didn't parse his input for SQL, but also chose to blindly execute code coming from the database?
Exactly, this is why we name our PCs after the DELL service tag, if we are in doubt we can just call up DELL, they know everything about the machine that matters.
Good for you, but here in Denmark things works differently. 2 weeks notice is plenty of time, often people just go straight to Fogedretten and gets injunctions against the offending parties.
Danish here and thinking the same. 5 weeks paid vacation (by law, method of payment varies), and employer is not allowed to contact you while on vacation (only applies for normal workers, management has different terms).
It is only the last one in the buying chain (or anyone private) who are paying VAT, companies pay it when buying, but are reimbursed when selling, so the base price for the item is the same no matter where you are.
Also, if your theory was true it doesn't account for the fact that VAT varies around Europe, and you are still paying VAT on top of the Steam price (for that very reason). But thank you for playing.
Erm, not a bad deal? You are saying that it's ok for us to pay an additional 20% on the currency, because we pay 25% more on VAT on top of that? How the hell does that make any sense?
Here in Europe we get to pay the same literal as Americans, but we pay in Euros (regardless of the country in question actually being part of EU), so games on Steam are usually 20% more expensive for Europeans than Americans. I haven't bought a single game from Steam after they did that trick (even though I really want to play Secret of Monkey Island).
Indeed, but when converting into family cars you still have to allow for more normal stuff, like keys. Racing cars are build to go fast, the GP post was talking about going fast, so what they did was strip anything that would normally serve as security for speed. (This is also usually what you would be doing in clusters and super computers, you can gain quite a lot if you trust your network).
It's the economic crisis at work, NASA can't afford to build a new set for a "moon landing", so they are just reusing their old one, thus requiring them to have a cover up for why the old props are in the shot.
Also the price tag for the windmills running offshore in UK and Denmark for instance are for first try projects which will always be more expensive - and they are running on older technology.

Too bad there isn't a moderation, "funny cause he is retarded" :-)
But hey, keep polishing your knob while thinking about your $2500 IDE, whatever works for you mate.
Nice trolling...

Grow up.

So you are saying they have been using mobile networks for 1000 of years?

In short, everybody PANIC!!!
Or you could just have said de mortuis nil nisi bonum dicendum est (Let nothing be said of the dead but what is good).

I believe he was referring to the Sir and bikini... But hey if that floats your boat go for it.

I wholeheartedly agree, was just pointing out the stupidity of the GP claiming lack of guns was the reason for assaults.
Interesting how assaults like this continuously fail to happen here in Denmark where guns aren't allowed...

Spare some change mister?

You have absolutely no idea about how VAT works.

Guns don't kill people... Or does that only apply when people question the US gun laws?
I bet you are an American.
Here in Europe we get to pay the same literal as Americans, but we pay in Euros (regardless of the country in question actually being part of EU), so games on Steam are usually 20% more expensive for Europeans than Americans. Other than the fact that it is far easier to keep stuff in than keeping stuff out.
