You need something quite a lot more powerful than a "super computer". Lets just for simplicity assume that you can only have 100 distinct places to place a node, assume there are only 4 distinct nodes, to cover all combinations you got 2^101.
Lets assume you can cover 4 billion distinct "songs" every second, and for simplicity lets do it like: 2^32 which is larger than 4 billion. That means you need 2^69 seconds to cover everything, you might as well try to calculate the answer to life, universe and everything...
In saints row 2 not only can you kill a lot of civilians, one mission specifically calls for random shootings to trigger an FBI hunt so you can "assassinate" an agent.
Also, the nice policemen lets you drive their APC, only requirement is to avoid rockets while being chased (one of the coolest things in SR2 is to steal an APC and pimp it up, then go hunt the other gangs).
The reason why I don't buy newpapers is exactly because of the lack of intelligence and spelling, I feel dumber when I've read a newspaper.
Also, quite a lot of the danish newspapers are no better than bloggers, they pick up news from sites like Fark and translate them to danish, why would I pay for that?
The bubble bursts and a lot of people realized that quite a lot of "professionel" IT had absolutely no idea what they where doing.
Look on the bright side though, currently bankers, real estate agent etc. are getting the same treatment.
Also, IT is hard to quantify, a "key account manager" is quite easy to quantify in terms of turnover, and IT is often socially inept people, they aren't good at fighting back.
Really? How did you go about upgrading to a Linux system from windows without reinstalling programs?
On a more serious note, yeah lately upgrading has been peachy, however it didn't use to be like that on Linux, when programs got updated often the configs would get wiped or get seriously outdated, that was a fudging pain.
Uhm, the flu vaccines are good for life, the problem is the flu mutates every year which is why you need a new one every year.
Every vaccine for a virus works the same way, there are no magic bullets (yet), sounds like you think there is some sort of conspiracy going on here...
Anyways, it's all the small things. This is the first OS where I've been able to succesfully put my stationary into sleep and reviwe it afterwards. It boots a heck of a lot faster than XP/Linux, games run faster, start menu is nice n logical, the shortcut bar is "intelligent" and usually gets the right action.
Also since its windows most things are supported.
That being said, I still keep a linux around so I can log into work, but most stuff I do at home now is on a windows 7.
Well there is one difference. Cloud computing and virtual servers are to computers what keychains are to keys, it enables you to lose everything at once.
Yes it is highly convienient and more effective to have everything in one place, but so much more fun when you drop your "chain" in the sewer.
A PS3 is effectively useless when it isn't up to date with latest greatest firmware. You are not allowed to sign in on the PS3 network without latest firmware, that means no online games, no software updates, no buying new games from the online store etc.
$5.000 or $25.000 isn't that much - to you and me sure, it's alot of money, but compared to the bad press it's quite obvious why they decided to push it under the rug.
You should probably go see a doctor, being that paranoid can't be healthy.
Fwiw one time pads doesn't have to be that random, it works because you and the recpient are the only ones who has the key, as long as you are absolutely 100% sure of where the pad has been from generated to used there is no way anyone can ever decipher the code. (of course if you are using a compromised computer to generate the code or write the original, you have lost).
What killed DDO for me was when they introduced WoW style raiding. Everyone wanted the epic crafted stuff you could only get from the new big raid, that meant everyone where running the same stupid raid over and over - yeah it was fun once or twice, but playing the same stupid "maps" over and over again just took away any fun of the game.
Because none of those applies? Some of us live in a communistic world where you pay taxes to the government, in turn they spend some of those taxes on public infrastructure like television - and they in turn some time invests in movies and show them as is.
Most people I know are huge fans of the books, but like me loathe the movies, I saw them in the cinema and thought, well.. nice enough movies, but not keepers. I've tried watching them again when broad casted on TV, but always end up switching channel.

Because adsorb is proper spelling?

I see myself as vegetarian, I make sure to eat meat that has only been eating vegetables all the life...

You can take away our freedom, but NOT OUR LOLCATS!

Why?
They aren't elected by locals losing their jobs, those probing the companies are appointed, and thus have no interest in rushing the decision.
Also a merger between the two companies will likely result in even more job cuts.

Guess I got modded funny cause it's true?

It's just better.
I upgraded to windows 7 pro about a month ago (through MSDNAA) and I've even stopped using linux at home.

The GSM clicking???? Are you f***ing kidding? The 90's called, they suggest the US start using shielded electronics!
I haven't heard electronics being affected by a call in ages - only if I've been near some really _REALLY_ cheap electronics.
They don't? Since when?

Sony fucked up, they have to clean up their mess.

No, hopefully they will realize it's illegal before the EU helps them on their way.
No I'm in it for the long hours, crap pay and disgruntled customers.
(actually I like what I do).
Two words:
First post!
Thats what they will add - hordes of idiots scouting the web for places to write first post.
You are not alone, illegal translated into my native tongue means it is a criminal law offense.

The card does OpenGL just fine, in this case it's the user being overly paranoid.

Must be nice to live in a free world...
Well you would be wrong.
