Why is it people always think of this as being a guy/gal issue? I always play guy avatars when I play MMO, getting free stuff from high level chars is normal, and I give out the junk stuff that drops for whoever needs it, regardless of their supposed sex - some people are just nice to others.
Well said. I've been programming PHP for quite some time and tried Ruby, for me it was more of the stupid stuff but none of the good stuff, and since I have all my code in PHP there was no point in switching.
Truth is Canada spends less on our military because WE DON'T HAVE TO. With the cold war over there is no immediate threat to our country. Unlike the US we don't try to project our national policies externally for the most part so we don't need 12 nuclear powered aircraft carriers etc.
Not sure the US and Russia agree with you entirely. Putin and Bush seems to have been working real hard on relighting the good old cold war for a round two.
The thing is, there is nothing hindering a total collapse of the US dollar, the dollar is not tied to gold prices or anything like that. Also the difference between now and then is the US debt is almost unpayable and the dollar is no longer setting the benchmark.
And what the hell are you talking about rates against the Mark? There is no longer such a thing, and comparing the Mark with the Euro is downright stupid since the Euro will be traded at an almost fixed rate where the Mark stood in relation to the dollar.
Probably not a big deal in developed countries where maintenance requirements are very strict, but it could be an issue in the third world where regulations may be more spotty
Yeah because here in the first world we didn't just have 3 plane crashing during landing due to poor maintenance. (Look up Bombadier 8Q-400).

It produces chemicals when it burns? Like inhaling toxic smoke is going to be your big worry if the PLANE is ON FIRE.
This is a very big issue, if you inhale smoke from a grill you don't drop dead within seconds, if you keep doing it you will of course die from lack of oxygen. The problem they have been talking about with the carbon fiber is the smoke can contain toxins that will kill you a heck of a lot faster, making escape from the fire a moot point because you are dead trying to find the exit.
Never understood the shorted thing, but if I had the money and was living in the US I would have gone for that option (well I at least understand that you are somewhat betting against them doing good, and SCO was a dead fish).
You might want to go back to your books on that one. Yes they are all connected and one major issue is handling the amount of data going on the bus. Switching fiber is VERY expensive and therefore not something you are likely to find in a USB hub anytime soon.
It often depends on what you are doing, some programs need fast over reliable - others need stuff like strong exception safety, there should be room for both crowds.
Find the exe file, right click, properties, pick the compatibility pane, check the run this program in compatibility mode for and pick a suitable version of windows. Also you might want to disable advanced services and visual themes.
Nice trolling there. ATI drivers actually work, maybe not for legacy stuff, but all the new cards I have had since 9500 have worked with no problems under linux.
yesterday when the powers that be introduced the logging act. All data connections, emails and phone calls has to be logged and kept on record for at least a year. Beat that!
Why does people insist on using it for breaking into the stuff? If you know the cypher and you got the key (it's in there somewhere) you can _create_ stuff that the WII think it has made itself - that way they might be able to get it to do what they want.
Great, so not only are we going to have a bazillion program trying to phone home for updates, we are also going to have 5 different BT clients all thinking they are being nice to your ADSL upstream.
Well over here the weather is turning a bit odd. We have set quite a lot of weather records this year, yes it might just be a fluke, but we are pretty fubar if this continues.
Blue tooth earphones are not like the BT for headsets, they usually are connected together with a plastic thingiemagik, so no, that would be a non issue.
Well you said it, jogging. My left earphone often falls out when I'm out jogging because the movement makes the wires jump and that pulls out the earplug. And in general I could see it as a big bonus, I always end up entangled in wires, bags and groceries (I use public transportation).
What about Command & Conquer? It might not be a MMO, but it sure as hell was a trend setter and they hit 12 years this month. They celebrated with giving away C & C 95 Gold for free here: http://www.commandandconquer.com/intel/default.aspx?id=61#NewsMain .

With about a million users and only 200 comments per story, chances are it's different people posting in the two types of threads.
Yeah, but it only takes that one guy to steal your E-mail and push it on TPB.
I bet RIAA would love to be able to use that as an argument...

(Well I used to do PHP, these days I do C++)
Like legal documents weren't hard enough to read as it is, think of what it would be like in pirate talk.

Thats all fine and dandy if you have the ability to sustain yourself, but as far as I know the US relies heavily on imports to keep going.

And now imagine everything going on a hub creating massive collisions....

Hope it works.

Well the thing is, its on Danish ground so the rest of the world can bugger off!
