I was taught to protect my ideas too(university of quebec), and, you know after hearing all those things about IPs being stolen, concepts being slightly modified by other people to make em theirs.. i understand the point of it. And guess what, a lot of teachers in universities comes from private companies or are self-employed. So there you have the culture of protecting your IPS.

Birth itself is an act of violence, should we ban it on video? Our first breath is PAIN, when going out of the womb. How about the suffering of the woman who gives birth?
If we pause a second and think about violence.. in its many forms. How could this law ever passed? So what about it being filmed? I'm all for violence and its many learning purposes. I don't endorse violence for violence's sake!

Using Openoffice heavily at the job.. the only problems we've got so far, are the bugs with the conversion of file formats. Not to mention, the lame rtf formatting that we use 'extensively' with our exchange server(was meant to work with MS Office anyway). Of course, this is 'expected'.. Until the administrators figure out how to implement something better. But for any other tasks, it does the job while saving a lot of $$.
Less conviviality doesn't mean a less effective employee, i think it encourages people to think a little more.

The use of Firefox is heavily recommended and promoted where i work, and this is true worldwide for every franchise of the company. We use online databases extensively all day long. Somes uses Opera too, but no one is using IE, really. The vast majority of people are now using Firefox, and i don't see that changing, even with the IE7 beta 3 and the eventual final release.
Perhaps this is just a trend, but thats a good sign of Firefox's ever growing popularity, even if other alternatives like Opera seems a better choice to me, for performance's sake!

Theres really good reviews sites out there that needs to be discovered. Unfortunately, peeple don't visit them because those site don't have the 'privileges' other prostitutes sites have(screenshots, gameplay info, interviews and whatnot).

Yeah, thats personnally what i want. If those distributions could unite, at least agree on some standards, it would probably evolve faster anyway, they could work together towards the same goal, at least work on some standards. And please, do something about games. As long as linux does not support games better than this, it is going to fail with a lot of potential users.
I would be the first to switch over to linux if i could run the games i buy, if i didnt have to seek the good rpm packages for my distribution, if i didnt have to look up for 50 files to satisfy the dependencies before installing, compiling my programs. At least for me, linux is not there yet. I'm not too fond of over-complexity when the same simple thing can be done in no time on another OS.
And to complete my little rant, i don't want to tell myself, 'oh its free so shut up'. If the process of operating this linux OS could be made simpler, i'd like to switch over. But right now it is made for a very tech savvy public, and life is too short for wasting any time.
When the time comes, i'll make the move, and i think Dell is not wrong at all in their claims here.

It would have to be Fallout2, this game is rich with popular culture and the combat system really works for me.
Also, both Deus ex titles on realistic difficulty(otherwise, you dont really need your augmentations).
And third would be total annihilation, massive carnage on metal maps with friends.
I received less than 10 spam mails a day during the last year, and that is a big improvement over the previous years, i could receive something like 30-50 a day in my hotmail account alone. With my yahoomail account, almost no spam since i susbscribed(~3 years) it stayed the same.
So hmm, it has been improved greatly i would say.

Canada is indeed cheaper, i pay 30$/month cdn for a 3.5mbps connection. And it is not the best available.
