Under 1K ? Does Cisco sell anything other than parts that cheap? I mean other than the linksys line of products..
Looking at Cisco / Tandberg enterprise gear I would expect a device like this to cost 2K, after you licence all the functions on the device to make a call, and purchase some form of new CAL for your network gear to allow it to connect.
I agree, clamAV has a very mediocre success rate in our environment, it runs as an extra feature on our anti spam appliance as first line defense.. Our multi engine exchange antivirus package still manages to get hits on it in the backend..
It is good for reducing load on our backend systems... I would never trust it as a desktop scanner.. it regularly scores poorly in 3rd party test reports as well.
- Unlike SMS/MMS it is not available on all cell phones, unless you integrate it will SMS/MMS... IE redundant - Forces you use use dangerous 3rd party URL obfuscation providers because the character limit is tiny. - Most blog content is one way, IE it would be better consumed via RSS, with links to the full content.. To be more redundant you can follow a sites twitter feed via RSS... - Most RSS clients have better UIs for consuming content. - Do people really have that much info that they want to share publicly out side their circle of friends in the first place?
In my collage first year over 50% of the students left the program as they had no clue what they where getting into. Only those with real interest and understanding made it to the end.
Funny but the ultrasound machines both my children where scanned with where running embedded windows os. I noticed when the dialog came up after they burned a DVD of the video and photos.
Exactly, I am not sure why past tragedies have not been mentioned by ANY of the officials or NEWS networks..
I remember seeing something about this on Discovery or History channel years ago and a quick search pointed me to British Airways Flight 9 on Wikipedia, all four engines FAILED!
You forgot the other reason of Flash being the number one reason for crashing on a Mac... It is so bad that Google built chrome to avoid it, Apple will have a build of Webkit 2 soon that runs Plugins in another process and even Mozilla is working on a Fix..
I didn't see how bad the problem was till my wife started using Chrome instead of firefox.. she was so used to firefox crash / closing that she was confused when Chrome popped up the dead plugin icons. Now she notices it all the time.
- Transferring money money > $100 from/to someone over 50 will likely be a Check as they don't get computers or smart phones - Some small businesses refuse to do direct deposit since the banks charge a premium - Debit often can't be used for large purchase because of daily withdrawal limits that are part of fraud protection measures - Some people with bad credit can't get credit cards
In real enterprise systems where email delivery has an SLA 24x7 you need redundancy so you can take parts of the system offline for maintenance or in the event of hardware failure.
The calls come down to the following three reasons: - You have a great filter so when any spam gets through people complain because it is not the norm. - You have an overly aggressive filter or the occasional false positive. People really hate it when they don't get important messages - You have no filter or one that sucks, the users inbox is full of spam and they can't get through it all to find the real email
- Integrates with outlook - has desktop sharing with multi-monitor support - you can use it will off the shelf hardware or cheap "certified hardware" - You can use it for IM, PC to PC Voip, Video, and even as a full phone system replacement.
As a gamer who almost never plays single player story games more than once trading in is a HUGH savings to me since I will only play the title once it just gathers dust otherwise.
Purchase new title at full price $60 Finish the title in two weeks - one month Trade it in at high value (still new and popular) get $40 Purchase another title that was used for $50 Total cost for two single player experiences $70
If game developers had their way it would cost me $120 for the same single play through experiences.
For REALLY short single player games renting is even better.
http://www.spiceworks.com/ Not sure how far it scales but I have played with it on some small installations, very easy to manage.
I have used Cacti but never felt it was mature or robust enough for very large environments
SCOM, System Center Operations Manager we are deploying now for our enterprise, however I would be afraid to manage IT on my own as it is a large system on to it self, yet very powerfull.
- The 3GS has a lot more ram which should solve the large document issue, and there are plenty of different PDF apps on the app store. - There is the kindle branded app as well that lets you get the same books available on the kindle direct on your iPhone
Other than screen size the iPhone very closely meets his requirments and is great for surfing the web.
Yes it is. Also put me down as another Last.fm user. Their engine isn't as detailed but it is good enough. Also the service does a good job of letting you know about local concerts for bands you like or might like.

No the best way is to see if p2p is already blocked.. Tossing bandwidth at the problem is not always the best solution.
For our US offices all we can get with a decent SLA is Factors of T1, we get Fiber/Ethernet service in Canada 10x faster for the same cost and SLA.
I agree, you want it or you don't.

You missed Microsoft Products Live Meeting, and Office Communicator.
No thank-you, please take me off your list... click

No antivirus on the net, is like having lots of casual sex without a condom and claiming your "SAFE" because you only choose the clean ones.
Condoms are not 100% effective as well, but it is still a good idea to use them.
You must be really lazy or your bank is very far away.
Some reasons that come to mind
- Transferring money money > $100 from/to someone over 50 will likely be a Check as they don't get computers or smart phones
- Some small businesses refuse to do direct deposit since the banks charge a premium
- Debit often can't be used for large purchase because of daily withdrawal limits that are part of fraud protection measures

If you already use Windows as your desktop and Exchange as your email / messaging systems you should look at Office Communications Server 2007 R2 http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/communicationsserver/default.aspx
- Integrates with outlook
- has desktop sharing with multi-monitor support
- you can use it will off the shelf hardware or cheap "certified hardware"
- You can use it for IM, PC to PC Voip, Video, and even as a full phone system replacement.
No, land line location is instant. they know where you are as soon as you call. Wireless location depends on many factors.

Don't know why but it reminds me of this SNL Skit: Don't Buy Stuff You Can't Afford

I wish I had some mod points right now.

Nope, it is the post titled "We have had the videos *all along* you IDIOT (Score:-1, Troll)"
The link in the sentence a "Remember the Australian who had them in his archive [nimp.org] for over thirty years?" is malicious.
