    we have ways to get fresh water out of the ocean if we get that desperate.

    Which we already do. Only problem is, it requires a massive amount if energy to do. It's prohibitively expensive, especially when compared to tapping regional and local sources of freshwater. Kinda like those electric cars out there. Everyone would love to have one but not when they can get an internal combustion engine for 1/2 or even 1/4 the cost.

    Why should I care about bankers. I pay attention to what scientists say.

    Because scientists are ALWAYS correct. Hell we have hard enough time predicting the weather beyond 5 days in the future. What leads me to trust these predictions 50 years from now? One thing you will never hear these scientists say is, "We predict the Earth will warm but honestly we just don't know, it could end up getting cooler."

    Just keepin' it real.

    Companies will reduce the size of the battery two thirds and still charge the same amount of money for it. Battery life will appear to remain the same to the end users.

    If memory serves me correctly, we have had 2 maybe 3 hurricanes make landfall since Katrina. At the start of EVERY hurricane season you hear nothing but "this is going to be the worst hurricane season on record with record landfalls." Brings back the boy who cried wolf story. Could be one reason a lot of people don't evacuate when order to. We all know the hurricane prediction centers honestly don't have a clue and say those things just to cover their asses.

    Yes I believe the earth is getting warmer.
    Yes I believe humans have help the earth get warmer.
    No I don't believe the warming is all from humans. I personally believe it's a small part but we're helping nonetheless.
    Yes the earth has had warmer spans in it's past history before humans. Ice cores from Greenland prove this.
    No the far left won't acknowledge the earth was warmer in the past even though their dear scientist confirmed it.
    No the far left won't include weather history before the year 1900.

    We need oil and always will. We still don't have a good technology for long term eco friendly travel at an affordable price that doesn't rely on oil. Middle ground needs to be found in the meantime till we have that technology.

    I, sadly, will not be voting for either. In my mind they are both exactly the same. They are after all politicians. They are both professionals at speaking out both sides of their mouths.

    Again, I can go 24 hours of heavy usage. Unless you never sleep and live in all the places you listed then you will be able to charge your phone at some point in time. Anyone saying otherwise is just too lazy to plug in their phone and want some excuse.

    Sure I would LOVE to have a battery that last 100 times longer but what we have now works just fine.

    I have a charger in my car, at work, at home and a 4th in my travel bag so I won't forget one when I head out. Unless you're hiking in some mountains for days on end I find it hard that anyone wouldn't be near some wall plug where they can plug in for at least an hour here and there. You gotta sleep at some point.

    I have the HTC Bolt also and with the extended battery I can go 3 days idle, 2 days medium usage and 24 hours heavy usage. Maybe you should look into getting one?

    You can download a single song, album or your entire Google Music collection on your home computer. From there you can do what you want with the mp3 files.

    Your phone would just be used to listen to your music, not for downloading and then trading songs with other people.

    They would need something added to the Android OS to track what apps I'm using and how much I use those apps. This doesn't haven't anything to do with tracking phone calls or GPS/A-GPS location and what not. In other words, Carrier IQ which by using every scanner I can find says my phone doesn't have it. *shrugs*

    Or move to Android. =) I did 2 years ago but it seems that didn't solve my problem because I went with Verizon. I did however root my phone and removed every app I could that had anything Verizon in it. I'm not really sure how they do their tracking.

    I pay twice the AT&T advertised rate to the monopoly cable ISP for my home just so that I won't have to deal with AT&T.

    I'm doing the same. I won't get near AT&T.

    Also I have Verizon and have always had good service.

    P.S. If you're good with computers, get a phone you can root. You won't be disappointed once you're able to remove all the bloatware from it.

    Thats the problem with "just give it to the private sector". There's a zillion private sector companies and they often (or at least occasionally) don't work together very well.

    I would also argue that various branches or sections of government don't work together very well either.
