1. Space Above and Beyond ran for 1 season (24 episodes)
2. The Babylon 5 production crew were the ones that revoutionised SciFi special effects arena (it had been running a FULL two years before SA&B). They showed EVERYONE that you could make an episode using computer graphics without the $1Million price tag that star trek espiodes cost then.
Space Above and Beyond was merely following in Babylon 5's LARGE footsteps.
Probably those of us who look for something deeper in life than firefights and see relationships as being more complex than just pairing with a sex partner.
You're a woman, aren't you?
No sane man would ever say something like that in public....
not unless it was gonna get him laid.
The Liteon LDW811S is capable of burning 8x DVD+R.
It is for sale a one shop here for AUD$315.00 (USD$227.00).
The Plextor PX-708A is AUD$499.00 (USD$360.00).
Plextor can claim "the first commercialized 8X DVD recorder" all they want, but the LiteOn is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper, and available at the same time.

No wonder you're only drawing with all those chess playing computers, take a bit of pride in your chess playing. I would've assumed that almost ALL of the previous grand masters had to work from home.
I have burnt hundreds of DVD-Rs, and my Pioneer A06 has NEVER failed to finish writing.
Nor has it written anything that is unreadible in a DVD Rom or (if necessary) standalone DVD Player).
I know he's one of the worst people in high places, but I think this is a good thing. He's not invading peoples privacy or instituting some terrible law, he's actually helping people.
You left out a word there. Here, I'll fix it for you:

Most superheroes are never asked to help. They have their superpowers thrust upon them and consequently feel morally compelled to right wrongs.
Alternatively it could be the overwhelming feeling that some people have, when across a poisonous spider or snake, to the poke the bad thing.;-)
Lies, Lies and more Lies. You must be a Republican?
Most weblogs are written by people for their "internet friends". Maybe YOU use your weblog for telling people that are related to you
about your life. But most people are telling people they don't know (other than on the internet) shit that is not interesting to anyone but the person.
I do not EXPECT the casual reader to care, so you would find it odd if I did.
Blogs basically brought making a personal website into the mainstream so, just like everything else that turns mainstream, there's a lotta crap to sort through.
I was not calling conservatives: facists. However, the Nazis used almost the same wording (in the German though, of course), to describe political dissident intellectuals.
Its just that their thinking and actions mesh up nicely in that particular area.
I never thought it could happen to me. I was in the office backing up the companies accounting software, using Norton Ghost, when Cindy walked in wearing that little red dress she has.
Cindy is so hot, I've never had the guts to ask her out. She walked up to me and...
I work in a design office where most people use Mac OS 10.2. I swear to God, now matter how many times I show people virus stats, or point them to articles about Macs and viruses, the SECOND there is something wonky going on, they call scream that they have a virus.
I, for one, welcome our new female organisational overlords.

They should make a movie out of "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep".
Anyone second the motion?

No cheer leading from me...
Seriously, isn't Oracle involved in the Great Firewall of China?
What are they storing, a list of all the sites that AREN'T allowed to be viewed?
A list of the 1 billion hotmail addresses used by mainland Chinese?
It is nice that they've pushed the tech to a new level, but you've got to think...
If it is invisible, can it also be purple? and BTW, it isn't floating, while the dragon may be invisible, the fishing line is quite visible.
Why bother???

Speaking of self-absorbed, you seem to think that broadcast the minutae of your everyday life is going to interest the casual reader.
Blogs basically brought making a personal website into the mainstream so, just like everything else that turns mainstream, there's a lotta crap to sort through.
Geocities did THAT a LONG time ago.
Blogs are better because they give what people care about -- your opinions and knowledge -- without the self-advertising.
WHAT?!
Most blogs have entries like "I saw Timmy last night. We talked about, you know, that thing
we did. I was really upset... bla bla fucking bla".
IMHO Blogs are the almost sole domain of the self-absorbed and emotionally immature.
Yes, I think we can all agree that saying "AOL" will be a "get out of jail free" card.
Why aren't there laws against this sort of politicial corruption?

Isn't it funny how some conservatives/facists call anyone that has non-conservative
ideals "elite", "educated" and "highbrow".
Like there is something wrong with being "elite", "educated" and "highbrow".
Is there?
Each book is two "books"...idiot.
I didn't even read LOTR and I know that.
PKB because YOU haven't read LOTR

Just tell that it is BSD dying!
Don't feel too bad--my first thought on seeing this was that the next Slashdot book review would be "Mastering Windows NT."
...and too think all these years, I've been stumbling in the dark.
They have a book for that?
That pal you refered to was nick-named "Dark Avenger". I think he quit communicating with Ms. Gordon when she became Mrs. Gordon.
Actually, it was when she became Mr Gordon
The age old question has just been answered.
Ronald McDonald DOES read SlashDot.
