At risk is the US Capitol, Tel Aviv. We must protect the Israelis' right to build settlements on Palestinian lands. Even if it means the Empire Strikes First. You must trust US politicians, after all, they did save us from Iraq. (With the help of some helpful Israeli intelligence concerning WMD).

Taxes too high? The government takes in $2.5 trillion annually, yet spends $3 trillion. (under this "conservative" administration).
The tax cuts did not increase revenues, as expected.

The federal government is $10 trillion dollars in debt, and sinking deeper by $.5 trillion annually.
The interest on this federal debt is on track to exceed the entire military budget, $.4 trillion annually.

Go to gao.gov, and see the "fiscal wake up tour". From the information contained therein, you will discover how the complete economic collapse of the United States, and free fall of the US dollar will occur.

It doesn't matter, they will borrow and spend anyway.
The government runs it's finances like a person with no money in the bank, and who outspends his paycheck, and whose credit cards are nearly maxed.
In this case the credit cards are at ~$10,000,000,000,000, he outspends his annual income by ~$500,000,000,000, and the annual interest on his credit card is nearly matching the defense budget, (400,000,000,000).

More brilliant is to cut taxes, and borrow money to spend, to kill and maim troops. This is being done so successfully that the interest on this debt is on track to exceed the entire military budget. Two birds, one stone. Great job!
