    I believe the standard way of measuring nuclear spies is by their molar concentration in the whole population.
    They are actually found by taking a sample from the population and shaking it violently.
    Nuclear spies, being at a slightly higher energy state inevitably rise to the top and thus collected in a process referred to as reconnaissance refinement.

    Back when reCaptcha showed two words that you could find in the dictionary, black on white I had no problem with it, it seemed like a good idea and you might be contributing to digitizing a book or something.
    But now you just get randomly generated characters with a zigzag going through the middle and blobs that invert it and it's hard to tell if this one letter is an 'i' or an 'r' or a 't'.
    So I don't even bother looking at the real word and just solve the generated one.

    As an atheist, a resident of Jerusalem and a student of an institution that's part of the Hebrew University campus I find it hard to imagine what kind of misapprehension of Israel and its academic institutions you might have to make that kind of comment.

    Not arguing with your point but you have a pretty liberal definition of 'nowadays'.
    Icewind Dale was released twelve years ago, as was the last iteration of Diablo (not that I'm claiming the new one would be much different).

    The difference here is that the vast majority of those people are aware that the characters and workings of that world are fictional.
    I don't really see a problem with someone being inspired by fiction, be it Naruto or Charles Dickens or Jesus for that matter, just as long as they don't try to impose it on others and seek privileged status.

    Well, I don't think re-editing would be that much of a problem, all you'd need is to match cut to cut, could probably have a bunch of interns pumping out a couple of episodes a day, each.

    Personally I found watching the video incredibly boring, but I guess that's why I'd never do something like this.
    When I first read the summary I assumed he used sensors and some sort of AI to do this while he wasn't there, now that's something I could get behind, shit getting done while I'm gone.
    Which leads me to wonder, why don't we have robots doing this sort of thing on a large scale?
    Define the dimensions of the hole you want excavated and let them do the work in a tireless, efficient manner.
    Leave one guy on site to make sure nothing goes wrong.

    Well, obviously you don't bring the raw data to your doctor.
    How about you run it through some statistics software and it gives you a list, 5% increased chance for breast cancer, 7% chance of heart attack by age 50, then your doctor can suggest more frequent checkups, changes in diet.

    How about this, your government subsidizes a sequencing for every individual (I know getting into Gattaca territory here, also Americans would scream 'socialism!'), say in reverse order, oldest to youngest until you can do one at birth, then you gain a wealth of statistical data with each subsequent year.

    It's my impression that the leaders of the military and intelligence agencies are actually quite reasonable, other than all the funds they try to get for their respective organizations, It's the politicians that do all the demagoguery.
    The recently retired head of the Mossad Meir Dagan actually was interviewed calling out Netanyahu and Barak on all the bullshit posturing against Iran.
