Actually they have this. I worked for one for less than a week(and after more than a year, I still feel dirty), and one side of the room was inbound, mostly support calls of various types, and the other side was outbound.
Mmm, a good idea, and as pocket watches are often a tad larger than a wrist watch(and my best pocket watch was a square stainless steel model from a skateboard shop), it'd give a more reasonable input/viewing area. Basically, it'd just be a really small Palm Pilot.
It is to laugh. 'round abouts ten years ago or so, Pen Computing magazine was reporting on the various pen interface products, and one from Zenith was a tablet computer. You added a card to your computer, and it broadcast your desktop to a touch screen terminal that had an onscreen keyboard and a pen to replace the monitor.
Glad to hear that Microsoft is still creating cutting edge products... Not.
And nobody points out where this is referenced from. And here I was about to say how much the title of the article brought to mind the ED-209 from Robocop, my favorite image being the unit with its foot stuck in an open manhole, threatening to shoot the manhole for interfering with the duties of a police officer.
-=chuckles=- Oh look, its a Hackintosh(old Computer Shopper reference for you guys).
Still more cost effective than buying a Mac, though not by much, the beauty lies in the customization options.

-=chuckles=- And would you like to know why we don't have self service gas? Because the senior citizen groups keep lobbying against it as unsafe, we'll all blow ourselves up. No, really, that's the argument.
Ahhhh, I can't wait, 27 Dec I get out of here, Phoenix here I come... or something like that.
Actually, there is a reason, look at a magazine or comic book or other monthly publication. Monthlies come with an 6 digit extension bar code that distinguishes the individual issue. For example, Superman #185's barcode is 761941200491 18511 I'm not sure what the 11 means, but the rest of the number is obvious, no?
Mmm, there's where I go on this issue. Why do we need another card? And why an active tracking system(that's what Ellison wanted)?
We already have your Social Security Number, Drvier's License(data is shared between states in case you're pulled over), Passport, Green Card, Visa... did I forget any?
Why do we need another? How about making driver's licences national, and use one number for everything? Local DMV's can handle the local stuff, titles, registration, etc., and the US gov handles the licenses. Gives me less paperwork, and as long as its a passive system, I don't care about having a national id card./Wogs
Hmmm, the version I heard said it came down to price. JVC was charging a small fee per tape produced, while Sony wanted you to pay much dinero up front for a license to use the Beta standard.

Remember that from the Vietnam War? Intrusion tolerant computer systems... the more things change, the more the seem the same.
