    Well, I used to think that until I noticed that Fox news has a lot of streaming content on their site. Additionally, I use video web conferencing to talk with my friends who are out of the country, so not everything revolves around porn.

    Except when we share massive quantities of porn with each other. Then it definitely is just for porn.

    Actually, the Kyoto treaty was rejected by congress. Treaties such as this require congressional approval before they can be considered as entered by the US. Pres. Clinton "signed" the agreement, but CONGRESS VOTED NOT TO EVEN TAKE A VOTE on the ratification of Kyoto. Cabinet members nothing. Congress -- both houses if I recall -- were so opposed to Kyoto that they refused to even remotely consider ratifying. It wasn't even a close vote -- not in any sense of the word.

    First of all, he was only looking at the issue from a security stance. Second, social engineering is hardly a "security buzzword" and is indeed the perfect phrase to describe the actions of virus writers. Finally, your sig is improper Latin; it should read Cogito cogite ergo cogito esse.

    Really, thats a colloquialism for "last place I would ever have looked."

    You can have a "new", undriven, 2002 car. A 2003 model of a car is equally "new" but also probably improved with new features or amenities.

    Muscle actually has a much higher density than fat, thus adding muscle very well might increase your weight.

    I would recommend Northwestern as a good option for you. I think their ECE department is excellent. The CS department however, is so-so. And the co-op program at Northwestern has really served me well. Full disclosure: I go to Northwestern

    Moore's law is of course set with the assumption of silicon being used as the underlying semiconductor technology. With other semiconductor tech and even alternatives to the whole concept of semiconductors emerging, it is bound to fail eventually.

    There is an option to turn off nautilus handling of the background. Can't recall it from here, but its there and it makes nautilus MUCH more usable IMO.

    It means that companies should distribute patches only. That way they are only distributing their own code. If code belonging to them ends up in the kernel through other means, they still reserve the right to seek rectification because they never distributed the infringing code. That is the easiest solution to this problem.

    You make a good point. I was under the assumption that the subject here had previous experience with some more traditional programming languages like C or C++, but simply never had a job requiring their proficiency in his job description.

    If indeed it is the case that he has had no such experience, then I would agree with you completely.
