You just described my experience with a toshiba laptop with built in INTEL hd video 5 years ago. The "toshiba" driver had so many bugs and slowdows, i decided to try to get the stock intel driver from intel.com. It didn't install automatically from the auto detect tool intel has, but i downloaded it manually and it fixed most of my problems.
Maybe so, but for regular people that just want a laptop to browse cat videos on the internet while running a few windows apps, you can't beat something with an AMD CPU for the price.
Almost every feature you specify already comes with Windows 8.1. The only valid reason to upgrade to 10 is that it is currently free and DirectX 12 for gamers.
Most of that money was earned in the US by selling IPhones. Apple is doing nothing illegal, however they are indeed doing everything they can to avoid paying taxes.
Apple has the highest prices in the tech industry and the profits to match, this isn't a secret
While the Mac appstore is indeed integrated in the OS, it doesn't bother you, and you can disable updates. You can't even block updates if you are a domain admin in win 10 coming from WSUS
Windows Store is defective by design in an enterprise environment. EVERY user download the same provisioned apps all over again in the domain, therefore consuming tons of space and bandwidth. And now as an admin i can't even block the store in our group policy? I will stop deployment to Windows 10 in our company unless this stupid decision is reversed
H1Bs even if implemented "correctly" are bad for the nation. If that person is so exceptional, the company can pay for them to immigrate. You know, like we did for the majority of human history.
How would that be different from what you guys have now? You just described the consequences of a company hiring an H1B visa holder
Well i really hope it would be like you are saying. I'm not an american and am trying to find a job in the US and relocate there in order to escape the crisis in my country. The company that interviewed me said they couldn't get me an H1-B visa. And they were in the top 10 companies that got approved visas in 2014... So i wonder what's up?
I did not imply that the visas were being assigned correctly. I know they are being exploited. But it isn't the H1-B visas fault. It's like trying to convict the bar owner for a customer that killed someone driving drunk.
Rather than nix the program, just enforce them being assigned correctly. One method is to make sure the foreign workers are paid the same as an american. That way the companies can't use them to get cheaper labor.
H-1B visas are awarded in a lottery fashion, and the company has to prove the government that there is a lack of qualified americans to fill the position. If this is being exploited somehow, it doesn't have anything to do with the visa itself.
H-1B visas are good, provided they are issued correctly
It's all relative. I wonder why in the US people kill each other without reason (meaning, someone will go to a school, theater, etc and just shoot people)
However, from my point of view, they still have laws, they have separation of powers, low inflation, powerful economy and salaries that (mostly) allow you to live a good life. Not no mention access to basic goods, education, health care, water, electricity and power. None of which we have here in Venezuela.
Meaning, i would still like to move there if i could, in comparison to what we have here.
I have recently read a powershell book. Sure, it's verbose, but how it manages piping through commands is a lot more advanced and cleaner that what you can get in bash. Sed/awk/grep looks like a hack once you have seen what powershell can do
Well, there's a poll somewhere saying that more than half of the american people think Obama should have nominated someone. So, Republicans, do what they think.
Yet with less hardware, most consoles games, especially around that time, were faster, because the console OS was/is more efficient and game code was heavily optimized
Not only that, but even Nexus devices don't get updated as much as Apple devices. I remember Google skipping on Kit Kat for the Galaxy Nexus, and there's some evidence there won't be Android N for the Nexus 5.
Having said that, i don't like iPhones. No notification light, no removable battery , no microSD, battery doesn't last long, no AMOLED and especially i don't like that you can't install apps outside the App Store.
I can't believe you got upvoted. Means none of them, including you know that you can use keyboard shortcuts with the ribbon. Just press the damn ALT key, watch and learn.
It's a better interface. Sometimes change can be good, and i tell you this as a hater of windows 8 menu and even windows 10 inferior start menu.
1) Dragging a window and moving the mouse cursor up causes it and happens on older versions as well. Perhaps you are experiencing 2) ? 2) I had the same behavior on 8.1 with old video card drivers, especially when using radmin to connect remotely. Try and update all drivers 3) That happens on 8.x as well, disable wake on lan and also your usb keyboard and mouse ability to resume from power in device manager. Get out of a home group if you are in one. This is painful 4) Happens on 8.x as well. On 10 you need to use the custom installer instead of the express one to at least get a shot of keeping your app settings (not all of them) 5) You can defer updates for a few months. Also change its behavior to notify before reboot. Then at least you can defer the reboot for up to a week.
I am on win10, use it only for gaming (desktop) and browsing (laptop), and have only experienced 3) but was able to solve it
Whatever you do keep the classic interface. I don't like the modern javascript version.
I don't understand why if i moderate on a story if i post i lose the moderation. As long as i can't moderate myself this should be fine.
Put more moderation categories, such as -1 wrong

Simple text ads or non animated images are fine. NO FLASH.
Minimalist design for mobile users.
Maybe auto remove a story if the users label it as dupe. Also, for editors, auto search before approving stories to the front page to avoid dupes (like some bug trackers do before allowing you to create a new bug)

Easy. Offline software can be left as it is, but online software must be updated in order to be secure.

you have two options:
use a network cable between them and get a 1 Gbps connection (theoretically)
get a GOOD usb flash drive, it will do between 40 and 70 MB/s

at least on nexus 5x, if you use the fingerprint you don't need to swipe. Also if you use trusted places no swiping as well
another one: put back the old data usage when you could filter data use by day
By your definition, ad blockers don't exist, because nothing is perfect.

You can't disable updates on Windows 10, only "defer" them, at least on non enterprise versions.
This screenshot is from my Windows 10 Pro machine at work. There is only "aplazar" available (defer)

you may eat your words when directx 12 games start coming out and benchmarks show a big increase.
