Why do you think those two statements are contradictory? 200,000 Pennsylvanian Republicans looked at the Republican party and didn't like what they saw any more. Specter does the same and comes to the same conclusion.
What if you rip it to ISO before you play it and click through the EULA. You haven't agreed to anything.
You're still violating copyright though, you're distributing without permission. The same with music. There's no license or contract involved, simply unauthorized distribution.
Just because it didn't actually make money doesn't mean it wasn't worth the gamble. If you bet me $1 that a roll of a 6 sided die would come up 5 or 6, that bet would be worth the gamble to me whether I win or lose. Even if I lost, I would still take that gamble every time it was offered (assuming the die is fair)
As long as the city continues to own the infrastructure. That way if the private entity stops performing up to expectations, they can be replaced with another one that will do what the people want.
There are no internet abusers. It may be that the ISPs are not charging enough to provide the level of service they are offering. If so, they will have to change their pricing model. But the people who are making use of the service they are buying are NOT abusing it.
That's not a real option for everyone. Even in the NYC metro area, I can only get a two or three channels over the air and those just barely. Going without TV entirely is an option, though.
Then, obviously, you get wet. But the world goes on. If you're on the way home, once you get home you change into dry clothes. If you're going to work, that probably makes for a bad day. I keep an extra pair of shoes and socks at work for this occasion, and a shirt for if things get really bad. Rain's not going to kill you.
Good, hopefully captcha makers will stop trying to make their captchas harder and harder to OCR (and at the same time, harder for humans to decipher) and find a different solution.
And then you'll get crappy low quality "HD" which is just the same signal scaled up (poorly) to widescreen. Or at least that's what cablevision gives us.
iPhones don't need RGB or S-Video, so no, they're connectors don't need to be anything other than USB. Audio input and output do not (or at least should not) use the same plug as power/data (otherwise you can't charge your phone and use the headset at the same time).
Less than 1% of their users will be affected by the cap, but they realized they can probably upsell a good portion of those users to the non-capped service.
Yeah, I run iTunes to sync my iPod and to manage the tags, then I close it as soon as possible. Winamp has been able to play music in the background for years without skipping, if iTunes doesn't have focus the music jumps all over the place in ways I haven't seen since my first Pentium.
Of course, after you finish installing Ubuntu, you can go in and add from a list of hundreds of packages/applications. That sounds better to me anyway, make the base install quick and simple, add your extra applications afterward.
Except Dune's worms created the desert, they weren't an attempt to return it to greenery.

If I get to use the larger TV screen, I bet next time I can punch the monkey for sure!

Good, who wants an MMO where Wolverine shows up in every mission to help you out.
And obviously that person would be better off if they'd admit they were wrong and paid more for their coffee.
What do those stand for, anyway? I used to think the M was for music, but there's no sign of music on MTV any more.
Waiting for GPGPGPUs
Yeah, you're not really a winner until you successfully punch the monkey.
Because it isn't green?

Does it matter? If lack of legal guns just causes murderers to commit murders through other means, has the gun ban solved anything?

But will you make it available?
Dick Tracy: I'm on duty.
Breathless Mahoney: What's your day off?
Dick Tracy: Sunday.
Breathless Mahoney: It's a big world... must be Sunday somewhere.
