    Hard drives can't be that stressed by the sort of work the SETI program adds. Not exactly a daily thrashing.

    What I mean to say, is loss of information isn't valid, but being entered into a contract which requires your signature, yet without your signature.

    I'd persue that angle.

    I am in no way a lawyer, but isn't forging (or in this case continuing action with a required signature) considered fraud? Sort of like slamming?

    If it isn't illegal, which I can't fathom, it certainly should be.

    It's faster because most of it is part of the basic building blocks of windows. How many components use MSHTML as their rendering engine? You don't even have to start IE.

    Firebird has to load it's own rendering engine, plus the browser gui, etc.

    I realize this doesn't make much difference to reality, but you can't really blame the firebird developers because they use a rendering enine that isn't integrated into the windows codebase.

    However, doesn't really look much like a phone.

    I'd feel pretty stupid holding it up against my face to talk. Although, a bluetooth headset might make a nice addition... Handset's a bit counter intuitive too.

    Not that I really need a 3G phone anyhow.

    HOLY SHIT, I would have never made that connection, it's completely counter-intuitive, and definitely not something that jumps right out at you.

    Congress might be likely to pass a law making innovative software providers more liable for the copyright infringements of their customers in order to stop the public outcry over the RIAA lawsuits...

    How in the hell does that affect any intelligent innovative software provider (who makes software that can infringe on copyright), who after the napster case, realized that basing their company in america is a Bad Idea TM?

    Or is it just another death knell for american software developers?
