To abuse department: HA! I told you that you were ruining the company! Shut my connection down for a month because I had a virus for a few days (which I fixed before I was disconnected) See what happens? Put this on your shoulder and walk home!

To everyone else: My condolences, but I warned you that abuse department was trouble...

I've waited almost a year for revenge.
But seriously, anyone else know of anyone this cheap with static IP?

Dual mice, if they exist let me know!
I'm talking about 2 independant mice pointers here. Its taking way too long to get dual monitors in mainstream (why do end users hate multitasking so much!?). But dual mice would compliment true multitasking nicely. Also alot of games would love to add a few axis' layers to ther interface!

    make it so.

Nah I truely dont belive its a scam, but it would be funny, and I wouldn't send any money his way though. That dell remark made sure of that!

I agree, I tried wrist support for a few weeks, while fighting with them my symptoms eased from lack of typing (time well spent restrapping velcro). Requested an ergo at work and got one at home at the same time. It took I think 2 weeks to adjust completly, and even still I think i'm down 5wpm but I dont miss it at all. Per day I can type alot more now then I could with those "flat" keyboards. Which makes me realize, keystrokes are time, time is money, slashdot isn't free afterall!! (grrr, i'm still not used to this ontopic thing...)
    Go ergo keyboard!

  12. Re:Wonder if... on First Emergency Use of Whole-Aircraft Parachute · · Score: 1

I was actually frustrated a few months ago thinking about how I havn't heard anyone try this before. To save a 747 first step is to get rid of the wings, blow them off, whatever its dead weight, the plane is crashing, consider them relived of their duty. Perhaps having a set of starter parachutes at the tips of the wings to slow the descent of death and effectivly remove them at the same time. All cargo gets the door, It seems like there is alot of space between the cockpit and where the people sit, or maybe i'm not considering first class, but still dont kill everyone if you just have to eject a few pilots and instruments to save everyone else (insert pilot strike here). The rest should be relativly light stuff, deploy a series of parachutes, get good at it and you may be able to live if you catch it above 5,000 ft.
Actually my earlier idea was to replace the current cabin structure with essentially a giant ejection seat that everyone shares, plane goes starts to act up the pilot ejects the patrons and maybe himself in a different ejection system, try and fly the plane away from schools or something first. I dont hate pilots, I just feel sorry for them and want to make their lives more interesting! But seriously the idea would work it just costs too much to redesign the planes. It would be cheaper to cure cancer or fix car traffic or something.

I still say we need to prepare, one of these days god is going to look down upon us, see this giant metal thing flying through the air and say "What the hell? I didn't make this!" And BAM! appends the laws of physics to include flying rocks to the list of thinks that dont fly.
