Why do we have to have obsolete 8 gig plastic discs, when our movies (I dont give a shit what they say about you're only licensing it .. I paid for it, it's MINE to do as I please .. are they going to give me my money back when I want to de-license it? No? Piss on them) could be on a little teeny little drive that isn't going to fail because the "shiny disc looked pretty" as a mirror.

Piss off, Hollywood - I paid you my ransom money now leave me the hell alone.

Give me a break.. Give us a good, high quality download, at a decent price that DOESN'T expire, that we can play in a STANDARDS based player. It's not like I should have to pay the DVD price to download it from you. And I sure the hell aint gunna watch it streamed.. When BeOS was coming out with their RC's that people had to PAY to get, I sent them an email. Said basically "I'm a reseller. I resell and recommend operating systems to my customers. I understand that you have a superior product and I'd like to take a look at it. Would you please either provide me a download or send me a CD."

No matter how many times I asked, I was always referred to the "Pay us money and we'll send you an RC."

Screw that. If you're trying to make it .. and you have a product that you're going to sell against Microsoft - then dont piss off the resellers and VARs out there by making THEM pay for trying it..

This isn't about freedoms. This isn't about the artists getting their "FAIR SHARE". I'm sorry, but I know personally several music performers who have not sold their soul to the devil (music companies) who get along quite nicely just making music locally. If it's superstardom you want - then either make your own name, or realize that you're going to have your work pirated.

I'm DONE with paying for music - GarageBand.com has some wonderful music on it, and the rest of anything I want I'll find online (they'll NEVER stop freenet or .torrent or FTP or IRC unless they pull the plug on the whole damn thing).

You think they're stopping ANYONE? Hell no, they're just putting it more underground. And to be underground you have to work a little harder than just installing Napster (in the pre-Napster Sucking days).

I have a LOT more interesting things to do with my money than to piss it away at a $16 piece of PLASTIC.
