I'm moving appartment and I'm finding bits and pieces all over the place (I usually keep the stuff I need in a couple of drawers). Since I cant remember putting it there I am just assuming I have no further use for it and its going out with the garbage. Simple and effective.
I think its pretty clear that there is a lack of faith in e-voting and also some mistrust of traditional forms of voting after Florida. I therefore propose that all voting be scrapped and the adoption a Supreme Leader to rule. Since its my idea I will be the first leader. My aides will be dilligently selected for their intelligence and integrity, if that just happens to be my old mates then so be it.
Obviously leadership is a great honour and a burden which I feel I can best fulfill if resident in a luxurious villa on a tropical island paradise surrounded by nubile native girls, with regular entertainment provided by Britney, Beyonce, Kylie etc. and a large collection of expensive playthings (Gulfstreams, Ferraris, Merc's, helicopters, speedboats etc).
My first order of business will the public execution of the SCO board of directors in a very public and painful manner.
And remember, we all love the Leader and are dedicated to his happiness.
Why pray tell would you want a powerful predator for a pet? Even at 1/8 size it will still be a vicious beastie with sharp pointy teeth and quite capable of inflicting serious damage on you.
I do think copyright applies to pr0n, its just the pr0n industry is currently not as vigourous in their defense of it as say the RIAA. Plus a lot of it is just snippets most of the time people do not download the whole thing as is the case with music and other movies
Kazaa is for the most part copyrighted music/movies and pr0n. If you remove the copyrighted stuff you will be left with the worlds biggest pr0n distribution channel. Not that I think this would be a bad thing but you will probably have a hard time persuading Joe public (OK Joe might buy it), Josephine public then that this is a Good Thing (TM)
A radio DJ in Ireland a couple of years ago had a segment on his show where he would phone people and play tricks on them. One day he made a fool out of a woman who lived near Baldonnel Airforce Base by calling her, telling her he was from the airforce and that the remote for her newly installed garage door was lowering the landing gear of planes flying near the airfield when she used it. He had her standing in the middle of her garden clicking the remote and looking skywards to see if any plane's landing gear came down.
Public faith in the integrity of the electoral system is vital if democracy is to be successful. If one of the vital components of the electoral system is flawed then the public can have no faith and the system cannot work.
No more like Flashline where they try and match clients with developers. Not an idea that took off. End users do not have the remotest use or interest in this type of service and its much more practical for small companies to develop symbiotic relationships with small software houses/individual developers rather then mix and match software from God knows where that leads to more complex solutions and gives developers the upper hand in deals.
Personally I think its a pretty naive approach to an idea that has been shown not to work. Accepting the level of mediating responsibility discussed in the article is just asking to be sued into the ground.
Cross site scripting (XSS) flaws are a relatively common issue in web
application security, but they are still extremely lethal
You better believe it. Why only last week I had one of my web developers executed for writing code vunerable to a Cross Scripting Attack. I dont want any slackers on my team.
PS I now have an opening for an experienced web developer. Sent resumes to spareme@icodetolive.com
OK the zooming is great for perving attractive young women but most of the rest of the time I require Peril-Sensitive and Monotony-Sensitive functionality so I just dont have to look at it.
This was detected by BitKeeper, not someone reading thru code, Linus's personal choice as Version Control system amid a lot of controversy if I recall correctly. Looks like he has been vindicated in his choice.
I point to economic growth during the US's recessions rivaling Europe's times of normal productivity as evidence that the free market, despite all invective against it from the left in media and the academy, works incredibly well
Your question will be ironic when you, despite being SupaMega, go the way of the rest of the buffalo when SkyNet becomes aware and starts with the Terminators.
I agree totally with you, I actually deleted mentioning that student fees and in some cases the taxpayer subsidize University WiFi access from my post. I just got the impression the original poster was under the delusion that for some reason a company should provide services to him/her without expecting anything in return. Thats not SOP in the real world, or as you point out in the fantasy University land the original poster resides in.
Because outside University is the real world. If someone goes to the trouble and expense of providing a service for you, they usually expect something in return.
This is getting ridiculous. Articles are being more frequently posted that are seriously inaccurate, or based on pure conjecture a la recent furore over Apple not updating their older OS's. Can we see some more intelligent editor intervention in assertaining the actual facts before the article gets posted.
Its pretty obvious. The strange pronunciation required for Canadian variables makes the code more difficult to comprehend and so creates an additional level of obfuscation and thus greater security.

Strange, I seem to remember Concorde working for 27 years. The Yankees must not be very good at canning things.
Cool, I'll let you know when I'm about to start the next set of trials on my teleportation system and you can be the test subject.
PS You dont have a problem with being rematerialised inside out do you ? We just run you through the teleport again to fix you if it happens.
Interesting idea but doesn't this remove the anonymous aspect of voting which would make it a very tough sell.

anyone posting AC here I'm gonna kick your ass, I know who you are and you better have your lunch money with you tomorrow.

BORK, BORK, BORK
In the SCO dispute, GNU-Darwin has no stake at all
For a body with no stake at all they have a lot to say about the SCO dispute in that document.

Maybe you should tell that to Ohio, or is that just more left wing media invective?
